Einstein perches inside his screen porch and talks a blue streak! Reciting many of the words he loves to say, he speaks clearly and his pronunciation is better than some of the best English teachers.
🐦
Einstein Parrot is a very talkative African Grey Parrot! He lives with us in our home in Texas and was hatched on June 15, 1997. Einstein is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! He is famous for his impression of Matthew McConaughey, (   • Einstein thinks Matthew McConaughey i...  ) NOT the "Einstein" that was featured on the TV show Animal Planet. He likes to talk on various "parrot approved areas" in our home, such as the kitchen drawer, the shower, kitchen chairs, napkin holders, and of course his play perches! Einstein has brought much joy to our lives, but training and living with a parrot requires time, patience, and sacrifice.

  • I had a friend who’s parrot would say “I can talk can you fly” it was great

When I was home with bronchitis, my grey kept saying, “Hey Hon? “ He repeated it for hours. Finally I said, “What?” And he said, “Are you OK?” I almost fell off the couch. I said, “Yeah I’m OK.” After that he didn’t ask me again. People think parrots just repeat or mimic what they hear - that there is not a real intelligent process behind it. That proved to me that they do associate words with situations - even if it’s one they haven’t experienced before. They are very smart.

You can tell his owner is super sweet and loving and teaches this bird a lot. He even knows his colors!
  • @ruthforsyth6124
He doesn’t use “fowl” language. I appreciate that polite bird
  • Greys are so smart. When our baby grey gets tired he says, "Is it bedtimes for little bird?"
  • @Shovel_Dad
    7:52 “shake your butt, it’s alright, don’t be scared”😂

It's not just his speech, it also shows what an unbelievable memory this bird has.
  • You can tell that the owner only said good words to this bird 🐦 love it.

The way he makes the sound of the water is INCREDIBLE! These birds are amazing 😭❤️

A friend took in an African Grey after his neighbor passed away and the bird started speaking like the dead person. Scared the hell out of him
  • @carbon3d
"Shake your butt, it's alright. Don't be scared" 🤣I laughed hard at that one!
  • @Meagain921
It’s not that Einstein talks so amazingly well, but he also uses his body in an expressive way. He really is astounding.
  • @saritaaiyar9012
His diction is so clear. He mimics the sound of water so well. Amazing!!

7:50 “Shake your butt, it’s alright don’t be scared” is my new motto
  • @KM-nd6wj
Someone showed that bird a lot of love and care! He’s so happy and engaged. Him imitating the dog was so cute.

One thing a lot of people don't realize is that African greys actually have cognitive language skills. They have the ability to not just repeat words, but understand their meaning as well.
  • @YaoEspirito
"Want some water?" Followed by picture-perfect sound of water splashing is just remarkable!
  • @ABadHairDay
I will never stop being amazed by birds, especially African Greys. The idea that an animal can not only talk, but also mimic other voices so perfectly is just mind boggling to me!
