Just in case anyone is wondering why his “friends” didn’t help him when he was being beat up, it’s because they are holograms. That is easily proven by the fact that person was able to walk through them. He can only see them himself, and they are unable to physically interact. This explains how sad this animation is because these people can’t make friends themselves since they have no idea who they might trust, or this thing just made them believe they didn’t need real friends because the product “gives them friends”.
