Thanks to Cynder454 for suggesting this video topic in the June Zoom 3 Finale! Jojo Part 2's "official" colored manga has the brass knuckles as the same color in the anime in case people were gonna say it came out after KSS ( prnt.sc/hk8gR7agdpy3 ) Which treasure in The Great Cave Offensive is your favorite?

I find it hilarious how 3 golden triangles with nigh-omnipotent wish granting power left behind by actual dieties are somehow less valuable than a Katana in this game. It's not even a legendary or magical katana, it's just a plain standard katana.

To be fair, things that grant wishes in the Kirby universe are not uncommon, so the Triforce being cheap makes sense.

In Kirby Super Star's ending credits, it is revealed that Kirby owns a house. However, I am a millennial, and thus will never be able to own a house. :(
  • @PaxtheDreamer
"I'm sure Kirby will make the most of it." Bold of you to assume that Kirby has any concept of money to begin with. He'll probably decorate his house with the treasures without even understanding that he could make anything from selling them.

It makes Sense that the Koopa Shell has a low price after all there are many shells in the Mario world

also, 15:30(ish) - the catch with the Triforce is, not only do you need $8000, but you need that wealth to be Balanced between your Bank Account (Power), your Cash Stash (Courage), and your Investment Portfolio (Wisdom)...otherwise, if you try to buy it, itll split up and go to two other buyers, and then you have to search through listing after listing and hope that they eventually put up their thirds for sale again, so you can try to reobtain all three...

At first I found it funny that Falcon's helmet is worth much more than the Screw Attack (y'know, one of the strongest and most devastating weapons in the Metroid universe) but when you sit there and think about it, it kinda makes sense. Falcon's helmet is pretty thin and is a single piece yet seems to have similar functionality to Samus' helmet which is usually attached to her Power Suit. The Screw Attack, meanwhile, casts a powerful energy field around you...but only if you're somersaulting? If you think about it, it's a really weird niche use. SPECIFICALLY if you're somersaulting in the air and not if you're just...spinning in general. Granted, it'd be broken if it was active while we were moving in Morph Ball mode, but the Screw Attack is only useful if you have the strength and agility to do a somersault in a full suit of armor! And that's just for a few seconds! If you wanna be the flying ball of death we recognize it as you NEED the Space Jump and probably the Gravity Suit if you also wanna be able to do it while submerged in water or lava! And it's Chozo tech which is apparently super notorious to replicate by pretty much everyone else so it wouldn't be much use to begin with outside of anyone who happens to own Chozo armor! Being 800 bucks is definitely a steal but it'd be nothing more than an expensive paper weight unless you had the equipment and training to use it. That along with its' awkward niche use makes sense for me for why it's so cheap.
  • That DK Barrel bit was hilarious, i never expected you to include such a thing for it
  • @fireworkstarter
if you can buy the triforce for 8000 imagine how cheap a house is
  • Today I learned that ZoomZike's taste in seasons is as impeccable as Sakurai's taste in media.
  • My theory here is that a few of the items in the Great Cave are simply replicas, hence explaining why Mr. Saturn is being sold and why the entire Triforce is massively under-priced. Also Samus did visit Dream Land once to deal with some Metroids, maybe she somehow dropped the Screw Attack while looking for them.

The Japanese name for the Model Ship, "Floating Moon Boat", makes it a clear counterpart to the Sun Ring. Also, the Beast Fossil and Fish Fossil may be a reference to the fossils found in the original Pokémon game, which are also found directly next to each other (though you only get one of them). Also, Orichalcum might be a reference to the Dragon Quest series, where, in the 3rd game, it is revealed that Erdrick's sword, and possibly all his gear, was made from the stuff. As for the Katana being more valuable than the Triforce, my best guess is to do with Japanese culture. In feudal Japan, the lowest level of the hierarchy were merchants. Even farmers and artisans, who were typically poorer than merchants, were more highly regarded, because they had the honor to MAKE their own living, rather than simply selling the fruits of others' labor. Besides the Emperor, Shogun, and Daimyo (Feudal Lords), the highest members of society were Samurai. Therefore, I believe the Katana's high value compared to the Triforce is based on how much honor Samurai had, and how little honor is to be gained from wishing.

The fact that your recent videos have been in the proper aspect ratio and not 16:9 with a black border is something I just now noticed and is just a neat touch I appreciate
  • Ironically, the total amount of money you get in The Great Cave Offensive is also the maximum amount of points you can achieve in a videogame with a high score. Also, the part where the sentence about the barrel was voiced by the DK Rap guy was dope!

Regarding the Koopa Shell: Koopa Shells are essentially clothing to Koopa Troopas. They can take them off, break them, and likely buy them at stores. Mario Kart backs this up. Why else would they trash so many of them? $8 per shell is pretty good for long-lasting clothing like that, and it's fairly cheap to throw around in a sponsored event like Mario Kart.

Kirby's true riches are all his friends, so no, nobody has as many good friends as the prototypical friend.
