I didn’t have discipline growing up. I wasent forced to brush my teeth, I wasent grounded, I wasent forced to eat veggies and fruit. I wasent forced to clean. It’s brutal. I’ve just been going off motivation. My mom recently passed and I don’t have anyone else so that hit hard for me. I’ve realized I’m the only one to change anything. I’m working on my discipline and so far I’ve only started with working out. I’m down 75lbs in a year and I’m still doing but but it’s a lot slower now. I just need to go ahead and do everything else to catch up and once I start I believe I’ll be unstoppable. I just wish I grew up like this so my mom could see I’m not such a disappointment so she could be proud.

Motivation brings you high so when it runs out you crash. Discipline keeps you grounded through the highs and lows. Great vid!

As a man that didn't grow up with any male role models, i really appreciate videos like these. Thank you for the framework and wisdom

I have watched hundreds of videos and read countless books about motivation and sometime last year I sort of just hit a wall. Nothing seemed to be seeping through and helping me make lasting positive change. Only fits and starts here and there. Then I was finally diagnosed with ADHD at 50. Honestly, after somewhat unsuccessfully trying to address that issue I had sort of settled into “this is just how I am” and making the positive changes necessary to ever accomplish anything lasting and real was simply not in the cards for me in this life. Then I found your channel. Now I am starting to believe I can do it. Thank you.
  • When you said: "Brush your teeth"... You got me. You got me into tears. It's me. Still getting out from a burn out adn sometime I'm still asking myself things that I find stupid. But they're not.
  • Outstanding! That +1 framework is a game changer for me… imagining having to choose to actually step backwards from your goal is horrific compared to just thinking it’ll be ok to do it tomorrow. 👍
  • I love that you put a quote from Goethe in there. I actually live in Weimar, Germany. The exact city he lived in.

This is a fantastic video! Passing this on to my sons. Also, you come off as very personable and an "everyman" type of guy, which is refreshing given that most of the manosphere or self-help sphere or whatever you wanna call it is a bunch of outliers pretending to be average joes or simply posers. Lots of continued success to you, man
  • As dopamine addicted person doing art it's quite hard to change mindset from "What will be more fun" to "What will be more profitable". I am already know that fun is everywhere, you just need to keep walking. But that milestones +/- 1 metaphor is good. Never had that thought, and I see how it can affect my way further. Thanks =)
  • Was finally diagnosed as being ADHD and prescribed meds that seem to do wonders for me. Unfortunately, I'm in my 50's and have nothing to show for my 19,500+ days of being in this existence except horror stories of bouncing from job to job, from one career field to another, fits and starts of countless projects, entrepreneurial ideas and broken relationships. Luckily, a wonderful woman chose me, has helped me start an amazing journey to greatness. Now I stumble across this video. YES!!! Exactly. I NEED TO UN-F MY LIFE and become the person I should've been decades ago. Huzzah!
  • Baseline. I just cried because I'm tired of fighting the sadness. Then I came back to this video and listened to the first step. Treat every decision as though it's important. I stopped there. That's all I can handle right now. I'm gonna clean the bathroom. I don't feel like it...but it matters...and it's better than sitting with my wet face in my hands😒. I feel better...a tiny bit🥺.
  • @Wawuseq
I am standing at crossroads right now, and stumbling upon your video seems weirdly aligned with what I need to hear - ESPECIALLY the part about not listening to one's self. I went through countless schedules, alarms, planning, diaries, and virtually anything I could... apart from actually doing the thing. Big thank you.
  • I am subscribing your channel at 73k followers. I am sure one day this will grow to 7M followers. Thanks for the Valuble Contents ❤️ Great work Anthony

The Nietzche quote is pure GOLD! So true, regardless of how you feel about the man himself.
  • @chazlyle41
I think a strong helper instilled since being a kid was the idea that if something has to be done there is no decision. Getting rid of the decision process altogether and knowing you just have to do it, so just do it, made 90% of decisions non-factors. :)
  • Some of the best content on YouTube. No BS. This guy gets it and wants us to be the best person possible. I will be signing up for the newsletter. Can't wait to see what the future holds. Thank you Anthony!!!
  • Your content is so well put out in every video. Absolutely contained, short and to the point. Really practical tips and tricks. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for this. I've been struggling a lot with my health recently, and haven't been able to get myself to make the changes I know I need to make. I feel like I tried everything, but this really stuck with me. I hope I'll be able to use it well.
