Myanmar’s military government is facing its biggest challenge since it seized power in a coup more than two years ago. This is the most decisive moment in 60 years, after a loose alliance of ethnic armed groups with newly formed anti-coup militias cut off key trading routes, seizing towns and dozens of outposts. For the first time, they are moving into areas the military once thought of as strongholds. Opposition forces now control half the country, advances that have never been achieved before.

Following on from our two previous films charting the course of the resistance, we have unique access through our embedded camera team to capture the story at its most critical time, and chart the progress of these idealistic young people as they take on the military – once considered the most powerful army in Southeast Asia.

No army can survive without the support of its people.

Rather than look for asylum in an embassy like most coward politicians would have... This guy picked up an AR... Thats leadership people... Stop electing cowards.
  • I work with Karen and Rohingya students at a school in the United States and they're genuinely some of the kindest, most generous, and hardworking people. I hope that freedom and peace comes to Myanmar. Many have spent their childhoods in refugee camps. My ultimate dream is to go on a field trip with them to their country after the war is over to help rebuild.
  • From Malaysia we pray for your victory in the future... For democracy in future
  • These people are heroes. Fighting for a democratic future. It’s inspiring, honestly.

  • The fighting Alliance will win, and soon Democracy will win in Myanmar, so that peace will be restored. and civilians will live again in harmony. we hope other countries, the western nations will help the opposition forces with weapons, resources, foods, medicines needed. and also for the civilians because they are the one vulnerable in the war. very good documentary by Al Jazeera.

Opposite to the coup group, the PDFs are the truth tellers. Thank you EROs for training the GenZ fighters. Aljazeera, your team is the best news team about Myanmar Revolution. Thanks again.
  • Very encouraging to see. Something good at last to see people unite. If I had been the leader of my country India, I'd waste no time waging war against the Burmese regime.

I spent some time working at an International School in Yangon. The junta is ruling on a lawless law. The law is their ally and Min Aung Hlaing (the dictator) and the military are hated by 90% of Myanmar citizens. I saw that the Myanmar Red Cross Society is also under Min Aung Hlaing's order. The UN organizations in Myanmar are hopeless and purely for show. I feel sorry for the people of Myanmar.
  • My best friend is from Myanmar, i wish to visit this country one day. My love for peace for all the people here. With love from Uganda 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
