Thanks for the solid input! We on the team will definitely be taking it into consideration. (Also I wrote Rambley Review, there's even an official music video of it on my channel. Jake just wrote the "at indigo park" motif it samples & did the final volume mixing/leveling LMAO)

Honestly, Indigo Park has a lot of flaws, but you can tell that it has genuine passion put into it and that makes it a LOT better than games like BanBan.
  • I think Rambley is proof that all you need is one good motivating character to make an otherwise meh experience worthwhile. Call it the inverse of "I don't care what happens to these people". Even if I don't care about collectibles, the fact that I'll get to see how Rambley reacts to them makes me care.

Two things: 1, Mollie's mimicry might become more important in a revision of chapter 1, as UniqueGeese is considering having Rambley guide the player with his voice, and Mollie tries to lure the player by mimicking Rambley. 2: The death screen is actually from the same artist that did JR.'s death screens! UniqueGeese originally commissioned the piece for promos but liked it so much it was put into the game.
  • @GunGryphon
Rambley definitely sells the title, the effort invested there was worth it.
  • @Virtualblueart
I'd love it if Salem turned out to be a competing AI gone rogue because she tried to play her role too well.
  • I think this might be the best Title/Thumbnail combo about Indigo Park. Not calling the game perfect, but also not insulting it for clicks. Also, that intro was FANTASTIC!
  • @jaxcraft2848
Exactly. It's UniqueGeese's first actual game so it's ok if it has flaws. Like Rambley said "You up for a little survey to help improve the park?" and that positive feedback ensures he gets to exist.

8:32 Can confirm. As a nonbinary person, I've been secretly feeding my friends potions to make them listen to my infodump rambles
  • @hudsonk1racer
I've heard people complain about the "warehouse aesthetic" of jetstream junction a ton, but as somebody actually in the aviation industry; I can confirm that is what aircraft hangers look like, albeit the indigo park one is exactly how a theme park would try to make a hanger look more "themed" around aviation. I do think the game suffers from a lack of details on the walls and floors, but that is an issue in more places than molly's area.
  • Honestly, I think your voice is perfect for Salem! It sounds exactly how I pictured Salem's voice when I saw their design and the acting was very good. Hope you win the audition!

I like the use of a Magic Band as your primary tool, very fitting. I also like how the theme park actually looks like a park and has attractions—way too many mascot horror games just drop you in a random place and want you to believe that the building with fifty-foot drops and endless hallways is some kind of kids entertainment place.
  • @drucy.
Send that video to the devs. They're known to listen to contructive criticism.
  • My favorite part of Rambley's hatred of Llyod is that according to the description of the Llyod plush, Llyod is the protagonist's favorite character.
  • 3:21 That isn't just you. The Developer admits that the animation method (metahumans) is extremely uncanny without the filters, but it did the job for what it needed to do.

I appreciate how you didn’t imply that what we see in Chapter 1 will be the end-all be-all for the rest of the chapters. A lot of the criticism I've seen from other people seems to be needlessly harsh, like if they believe Mason isn't going to do more with the game than what we got in the first chapter. Okay, so the Critter Cuff doesn’t do anything except open doors, Rambley is easily the most memorable part, and you do a lot of walking. But that doesn’t automatically mean the full game is going to be a boring walking simulator with a marketable character and some horror elements thrown in. The first chapter is free, the game has a Kickstarter, and there isn't a merch store plastered on the main menu. That alone tells me Mason actually cares about making a good game instead of just using Rambley to make money.

Mad respect for the respectful and honest Criticism for Indigo park

You can tell this is a low budget passion project because its not perfect, but you can tell alot of heart was put into it. Also, the fact it's somewhat of a comedy makes this more enjoyable
  • @cyanthrope
those character designs are ADORABLE. I honestly wouldn't complain if this blew up and I saw walmart shelves stocked with marketable plushies like fnaf once boasted
  • 17:26 Funny thing about you saying this because the actual artist who made those game over screens for Jr's was brought on for Indigo Park's game over screens and definitely more screens to see in future chapters Btw, appreciate a lot about this video in general, most reviews are always over positive or over negative on the game instead of actually providing some valid critsicm. Definitely felt you there when you addressed that you wished the best for the game, and I agree. Despite the cons of the first chapter, the game has overall huge potential for improves and updates to the set pieces and environments. I can tell with the increased budget and now that UniqueGeese has graduated, there will be a lot more time and work being put into the 2nd chapter, and possibly a redoing of chapter 1 as a whole to keep it into their current view they will bring with Chapter 2. Sort of like how Bendy and the Ink Machine updated previous chapters to match with the quality of recent chapters at the time Also as a con from myself I didn't see you mention, I do wish there wasn't too many fade to black loading screens. I understand why they were implemented for the sake of not bringing major lag, but I think in certain sections like the transition into the tunnel to Rambley's Railroad could just not have a loading screen, and then fade to black while going on the train. I think UnqiueGeese has mentioned that he wanted to change this in some way so there isn't any lag, but still some proper smooth transitioning
