The student demonstration to divest their tuition dollars and to end support for Israel in its ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people living in Gaza has been grossly misrepresented throughout media. Having some experience covering rightwing independent media figures, I took a look at how Tim Pool is specifically spreading misinformation about these protesters and actively campaigning to have them silenced.

Tim Pool shouldn't criticize the students for "not knowing what is going on" Tim has made a lucrative career out of "not knowing what is going on".
  • "The reason Tim doesn't show the source of these claims it's because it's against the YouTube terms of service to show your asshole on camera" 4:30 Lmao! The root of all comedy really is truth!
  • @Exliontamer22
It’s rich to see Tim Pool accuse protesters of latching on to a movement when he built his career grabbing the coattails of occupy Wall Street.
  • @portmantologist
Holy shit. "People don't like Israel because it was founded in the last hundred years" is shockingly stupid, even for Tim.
  • "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it" -Upton Sinclair, anticipating Tim Pool
  • @laserramon9926
Pool admitted to Emma Vigland that he doesn't know much about the Israel/ Palestine conflict, yet he has the nerve to tell these protesting students that they don't know what's going on. Pool stands for nothing.

As an older person, there is something about this media/political environment that feels very familiar to me. It's a lot like the years when Reagan insisted the US needed explosive growth in military spending to keep up with the USSR, and needed to fund "anticommunists" in Central America to keep the commies from reaching the Texas border. It's also like the build-up to the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, not to mention the earlier attempts by Bush and Clinton to turn Saddam Hussein into a new Hitler. What these all have in common is a furious effort by those in power to force a false narrative onto the public that justifies extreme terroristic violence by the US against those labeled enemies. And they are all cases where any reasonably intelligent person could tell the reality of what was going on simply by not relying on what was said by politicians or the evening news shows and the NYT. The same is true now of Palestine. Indeed the same has been true of Palestine for many decades, though now it has reached a fever pitch. After years of ignoring the ethnic cleansing funded by US tax dollars, students are now seeing the reality, due to the newly-escalated, massive, ongoing slaughter. And the powerful are desperately trying to force an absurd and indeed surreal narrative about these events onto the public. I hope people on the left don't forget this feeling. They want us to feel like we are the enemy, like we are making ludicrous and extremist claims -- as if we are the antisemites. But our common sense reaction to the slaughter is plainly true. Hold on to the truth, no matter what they tell you. If the students do this, maybe they will eventually realize that nothing short of revolution will stop these periodic mass killing sprees. Maybe that's why those in power are so desperate; they know the implications of saying the truth about the genocide. The entire system must be upended and replaced by a system that serves humanity -- the very last thing ghouls like Joe Biden and John Fetterman (my senator) want. As for Tim Pool... fuck him.

I've never seen anyone project their insecurities onto other people as much as Tim Pool.

As a Portland State student, just wanna follow up on that car incident, the driver was pretty quickly identified and he literally posted an instagram story of him driving and the caption “on my way” and tagged our school paper, PSU Vanguard, pretty obviously targeting them since they’d been extensively covering the encampment and protest. So yeah. Definitely not a “wrong turn”
  • This dude just so happens to oppose every protest ever. Except Charlottesville.
  • @ArmanIRL
Visited the students at my local university. These kids are bright, optimistic, motivated, and ready to change the world. The universities should be proud that these kids are ready to change systems that don't work.
  • @scottishpig
This is a hard watch... the mental gymnastics on display here are kind of incredible. Why shouldn't protesters have first amendment rights again? I so sorry you spent so much time watching this guy, but I'm glad you did.
  • @yoredeerleader
FUN FACT: According to tim Pool's wiki, he dropped out of school in 5th grade at age 14. I was in 10th grade at 14. Jus' sayin'.
  • my brother religiously watches tim pool, I'm embarrassed to be related to him.
  • I need y'all to listen to me. Tim Pool is not a man. Tim Pool is actually a sentient beanie from a planet that is home to a species of fascist brain slugs that take the form of various headwear. Kinda like the brain slugs from futurama... but, you know.. hats. The man underneath Tim is named Nicolas. He was actually a pretty chill guy, once upon a time. Poor Nick :(

"You can't be gay in Palestine" which proves there are gay Palestinians, that are also subject to the slaughter. And while the government of Palestine, which has not had a democratic election in almost 2 decades before half of the population of Palestine was even born, is not progressive in the least that does not mean the people of Palestine deserve to suffer for it. You can't hate oppression when it's only your oppression. It especially doesn't absolve Israel of decades of oppression and crimes against Palestinians before the war or during, when Hamas was formed long into this ongoing century long conflict as a response to Israeli oppression, promising the people protection before it turned. Similarly to how many mobs, gangs, and cartels formed in North America as a response to corruption or oppression. All of whom ultimately garnered favor by fulfilling their promises to these marginalized groups which allowed them to grow in power before becoming a threat to the same groups themselves. How are any of these clowns taken seriously? Tim Pool speaks like an idiot, and Alex Stein is not even hiding the fact he seeks out conflict and provokes altercations so he can play the victim card. How does anyone take that and come to the honest conclusion guys like Stein are just being silenced an oppressed for their opinions, as if this were regular daily life for him and not a "silencing" he tries to make happen?
