In 1974 I was at boarding school and rang my parents to ask if I could get a ziggy stardust haircut.My straitlaced parents only heard the the word haircut.They lived to regret it.

I can't stop myself from tearing up every time I see a Bowie video now. He was truly one of a kind, so unique, so incredibly talented, and a real trailblazer. There has never been one like him, and there never will be another like him again. Good-bye, Ziggy.

One day an alien fell to earth and took the form of a human rockstar.. His name was Ziggy, he really sang, and he played guitar. He was loved by millions. Before he knew it, his kind had found him and wanted him back home. So Ziggy played his guitar one last time and made us a parting gift, a Blackstar. Isn't it a cruel world we live in, where the good get cancer and the bad stay healthy, where the good die young and the bad die old... r.i.p to one of the greatest performers in history, there'll never be anyone who comes close to this man's greatness and frankly, that's a good thing as this makes this starman truly unique

I love David and grew up with him as well in the early 70's and this was one of my most favorites
