We do our best to showcase the experience of driving the Porsche GT4RS. Get to hear and see the sights and sounds of one of the best naturally aspirated engines in production. The video includes POV, street, and track driving, then a crash course on the engineering and mechanical highlights.
While some exotic cars like Lambo, Ferrari, and McLaren get high praise, the 718 GT4RS is a supercar.

10 years we'll be pulling up this video to remember the good 'ole days

I’m not sure if there’s a better channel out there that makes you feel like you’re in the cabin and not just watching a video. Whatever you guys are doing to capture the exhaust sound is otherworldly.
  • @PatrickLino
This is the only car channel I watch religiously. Not just because I'm also from the same area in IL as Jack/Mark, but because this is the only channel that invokes FEELING. I cannot overstate how important that intangible aspect is. However, it's extremely difficult to do without being obnoxious. These guys just get it right.

it's good to see Silverback Jack back in a coupe 🦍
  • @The_Stick
Jack looks like a kid in a candy store. Mark just wants to get back behind the wheel of his Celebrity station wagon and listen to a Kenny G cassette. Seriously, you did a great job explaining the pros and cons of a very unique offering.
  • That engine noise literally gave me chills. Cars like this and people like you guys are the reason why I'm so passionate about cars.
  • @CUDAaar
Absolutely love the POV angle you've chosen. Seeing the gauges is an absolute must. Perfect.
  • Wonderful timing, gentlemen. Picking ours up in 48 hrs. Great video, as always.

I was fortunate enough to drive two laps in the Cayman GT4 RS Weissach at the Nurburgring Nordschleife last month. I've never had a religious experience with a car but this was close.

Video for the soul. One of the moments when you start thinking what should I do to order one. Thanks for your work ❤

I was so enthralled with the sound in the first video that I would pull it up just to watch the launch. What a machine.
  • @paulff3
Mark is right - it's a toy for someone with the means for track time. I was just at the Nurburgring. Seeing and hearing GT4RSs and GT3s on track is a memorable experience.
  • Man, this editing is freaking fire! And the subject matter is impeccable.

I love my GT4RS. Long time track day junkie, raced karts and Formula Fords in the 80s and 90s. There’s nothing like the GT4RS. Is it perfect? No. But it’s perfect for me.

Ye Olde Shoppe: always my favorite segment in SG videos.
  • @GadgetyMV
Such an excellent presentation and summary. Starting with the driving, the steering feel and some of the most relevant comparison vehicles. Then going to the shop. Even included a frequency spectrum capture of the engine sound. Love it. Thank you!
  • @LifeOfToyz
I got goose bumps just watching this...man what a machine.
  • @DanDiMaggio
I just don't understand how this channel is still hovering just over half a million subscribers. The production value and video quality is light years ahead of (lets be honest) pretty much all the other car review channels with double, triple and even more subscribers. It's pretty baffling to me and I've often wondered if it's the name of the channel that has a disconnect in peoples minds with a car channel. Whatever it is, these guys should be in the multiple millions by now. I catch myself watching videos about cars I have no interest in simply for the art and editing behind them. Keep up the great work guys! You deserve more in my eyes.
  • Man that engine is SCREAMING in a goosebump-giving way when wrung out. The drone when holding a slower steady pace sounds like/reminds me of when I had a broken muffler in my CRX Si. It started out just a little loud, but as the hole got bigger (had corrosion underneath) it turned into one of the loudest exhaust sounds I'd ever heard, at just the rev range I held it at on the freeway. It was tolerably loud overall but It was like it hit the resonant frequency at that range which gave it a multiplier and it absolutely destroyed your eardrums. Made everything vibrate. It was amazing and gave me the giggles at first, but then I started getting headaches on my way to college in the morning and the muffler had to go. Got a nice full exhaust while I was at it.
