Alright: give me your vote. Dalton Highway in Alaska, or Highway 50 in Nevada? Which one would YOU prefer to drive? 😁

This isn't a video. It's a beautiful film, and it's filled with atmosphere, warmth, and humanness. A real triumph, Eva. xo

As a fellow introvert, I can relate. Living in or in your case, moving out to the middle of nowhere is where one can relax and think. You begin to realise civilization with its crowds and conveniences can be too much of a good thing! The wilds of Nevada, with no one around to intrude on your solitude, the loneliness there breeds not anxiety or pangs of regret, but a serene calmness in the soul. Its not something most people would put on their bucket list, but Highway 50 being the world’s second loneliest highway, you definitely see life in a different light once you’ve made its acquaintance. In that respect, Eva, you belong to a very select group of people and I enjoyed your video for that very reason!
  • I am a native son of Nevada. I love it. The backcountry of the Silver state is wonderful and vast, and holds so many amazing secret places. Most recently I found an arrowhead literally laying within feet of a large piece of Native American pottery. If you pay attention, it is one of the few places left where you can still find places with pottery, arrowheads, and petroglyphs that are seemingly previously undiscovered or publicized.

I experienced that silence just after I moved to Alaska many years ago. Stopped at Birch Lake around midnight in January and the loudest sound was the light from the stars. Only surpassed by the absolute darkness. I had never seen the night sky so BLACK, only lit by so many stars. Like I could feel the expanse of the universe, and the isolation of this tiny planet surrounded by the rest of creation. Most beautiful thing I have ever seen/felt.

I live in Fallon. I’ve spent my whole life driving all those roads. It’s funny seeing you in my hometown after watching your videos from all over the world for so long. I’ve never seen anyone that isn’t from here understand so quickly the magic of the high desert! Most people just see desolation. If you ever make it back this way I can recommend a ton of amazing spots.

I travel those routes in Nevada working at various hospitals. That deafening sound is just as you described. Just be careful out there. I have run into human issues in those remote sectors. Be vigilant of your surroundings. Great video.

This is the most refreshing and feel good channel YouTube algorithm has ever recommended to me. A therapy for the usual crazy world we create for ourselves. Nicely done.

I’m a gal from California who started solo adventuring because of your videos! Just saying hi and showing my support, I get so excited whenever your videos come out each week. Your bravery is such an inspiration ❤

That was a beautiful video that probably reached deeper into many people than you might have guessed. I’m an old man now, but since I was a young boy, I’ve always enjoyed solitude. I think that lonely is a bad place to be, and I’m fortunate that I’ve never experienced it. I can be alone without being lonely. So can you. x
  • Eva, I have no idea of how I got your video but, I'm so glad I did. I am totally in love with you, what you do, who you are what you are about. Thank you so much for brightening my day.

Eva's channel is a true gem of YouTube. Keep up the good work Eva :)

I am a very stressed Masters student stuck in rainy urban UK and your videos are the absolute highlight of my week at the moment. Thank you so much for taking us with you on both your outer and inner journeys.

I envy you Eva! As an older American who is sliding into his twilight years, I live more vicariously through people like you. I love that you are living your best life!
  • @jazzridez
I've been there 30 years ago, camped for 10 days, and the silence will drive you out of there. It's so quiet it hurts your ears. You find yourself turning on some kind or anything on the radio. You'll find yourself listening to what you would never listen to. .
  • @healthyself7941
That's good film making. Competent audio mixing. Nice drone shots. And even a bit of philosophy about solitude vs loneliness. Great job, Eva!

I am from China and never been to US before. It's been almost 3 years not being able to see outside since the government carrying out the most strict restriction against traveling abroad . I really like Eva and her uploads, hope things going really well for you all. BTW Vilk is a true guarding angel.😊
  • Solitude, peace and absolute silence truly are some of the best human experiences. And really should get academy award for that cinematography. Also, greetings from Latvia.

The Loneliest Road in America was a trip I made from Sacramento CA to Lake Powell (UT and AZ) about 10 years ago. Loved it. You could easily step where no human has stepped before. Look down and watch for cool rocks, minerals, fossils and perhaps arrowheads. A prospector in the early 1900's set out from Austin NV headed south and found a very large gold deposit searching for his mule lost in a windstorm...what became Goldfield NV.
  • @VFRNinja
I wish I could break out of the work/eat/sleep cycle to do something like this. Thanks for bringing us along on your journey.
