After the first week of Battle Rally, I really haven't changed my strategy when it comes to buying buffs. I usually just commit to the first buff I get and try to build my run around that buff. Sometimes, like in this video, it's a buff that really limits what characters I can use. The run ended up fine, but I just had a little bit of difficulty in the final battle.
Sometimes if the first free buff is really garbage, I'll try to look for another buff that is really good. But what can end up happening is that the first part if the Battle Rally can be difficult, which os not what I want to happen with these runs. I want to be able to clear a run in about 30 minutes, which usually means committing to the first buff is the best to ensure I can be powerful through the whole run. I also commit to the first buff because of how I record these videos. If I'm trying to one-shot the video, I need to prepare beforehand the entire run, which is easier if I can reliably buy the buffs I need.
