I'm a custodian, and I started at $18 an hr. I now make $27 an hr, and it caps out at around $33 -$35 an hr. I vacuum and change light bulbs, that's it.

I'm a Traffic Control Foreman out in PHX and I'll tell you we don't get paid damn near enough to what we should.... I've already lost a good friend doing this job back in 2018...But yet Starbucks employees and MacDonalds are getting more pay and benefits🤦...TO ALL MY TRAFFIC TECHS, WATCH YOUR BACK AND BE SAFE OUT THERE ON THEM ROADS THERE, A LOT OF PEOPLE DO NOT RESPECT US...THEY FEEL LIKE WE'RE IN THEIR WAY...WE ALL NEED TO MAKE IT BACK HOME AT THE END IF THE DAY TO OUR FAMILIES 🙏 KEEP YA HEAD ON A SWIVEL

I was a TCS in Georgia for years. Garbage pay, and your coworkers are almost always lazy people who don't do their job. So you end up doing their job when you're overqualified for it. Should be doing paperwork and measuring, instead you're flagging because Shaniqua has been taking a 4 hour lunch. Bad pay too.

I work in traffic control in the Bay Area. Laborers union, starting pay is $23.62/hr, every 1k hours you move up in pay tier, @ 4K hours you become journeyman and starting pay is $36.25/hr, $2.60 raises every July, and 2 vacation checks in May and November. OT after 40, 1 1/2 after 8, double time after 12. If you don’t get 8 hrs off, you start at 1.5 pay and after 8 hrs it’s double time. The easiest job I’ve ever had
