Average lightsworn player calculating his mills off of charge only to mill 2 non-engine and a brick
  • @ProBAgar
Good data to work with. My only issue is stopping at 5 was a really bad time to stop because Pot of prosperity is the most universally applicable card that falls in this category and that’s excavating 6

You discovered several interesting trends there. Please more of that in the future. It is important for us Yu-Gi-Oh theorists that we make the connections between seemingly disconnected things in order to gain a deeper understanding of our favorite game.
  • 3 main things i noticed that can be improved: 1 the lack of reason. Why 85%? Why not 80% or 90%? This is repeated in the video. 2 forcing conclusions out of numbers. Cards that send 4 are deisgned to be payoffs or hard to reach like judgment dragon... judgment dragon is 14 years old, they dont design stuff the same way anymore. Look for patternes and try to explain them but dont ignore critical details 3 the conclusions are a bit vague. find rules that you can use as conclusions, like: if you mill x cards you need to have y jackpots in deck to have more chances of hitting than missing.

I believe you're really finding a niche here. I, and many other people often dwell into the mathematical optimization of decks, including professional duelists. You could start a series of videos tackling the best version of decks, mathematically speaking. Similar to what you did with your Prank Kids video, where you optimized a list, you could make a whole series of videos about optimizing entire archetypes. May be even discovering that Cubics are broken when built correctly. Anyway, amazing content, thanks for your hard work!

Uh. Imagine that, a yugioh player that can ACTUALLY math. Even though I knew most of the information in the video already I can definitely appreciate it. (granted the graph may not be the easiest to the eyes in video form, but I'm not sure what could be done there) For w/e it's worth, good video.

I think you can just use the deck probably calculator for these things. -Deck size: the amount of cards left in deck -Opening hand: the amount of mills -And then just adjust the card amount until you find the percentage you're looking for. Ex: mill 3 -Deck size: 35 -Opening hand:3 -Card amount:16 It gives you the 85,16 % you're looking for, just like in the video

been running 60 card shaddoll tearlaments in master duel lately, today I activated grass, milled 27, and hit a chain link 12 in the gy, including both tear names. feels really good.
  • @darobi
Subscribed as soon as I saw the chart. You cooking.

I feel like this is a missed opportunity to take this concept further. Anybody can plug the numbers into a hypergeometric calculator and find the percentage of hitting at least one of x amount of cards from y mills. Thats where your and most other analysis of the subject end. I think that the next step to take would be to graph how quickly the 85% threshold decreases with a shrinking deck size to be able to visualize the effects of multiple mills since most mill decks are not constrained to a single instance of milling as their first action. I would also like to urge everyone to not take this as gospel but only use it as reference material. There are many complexities not captured here

Bro I gotta say this is kinda how Dzeef popped off. Good luck sir!
  • This video has convinced me to play tearlaments lightsworn dragon rulers
  • @jeancarlo37
I'm definitely taking these data into consideration next time I build a deck
  • @darkstalker1372
Nice video. Thanks for all the information that you have kindly provided in this and past video in the past few weeks. If at possible can look into the stats for Branded(Fallen of Albaz).
  • @kekegegege
Great video, lesrned a lot about purrely! I think including calculations up to 6 excavates would be great in the future because that would cover pot of prosperity which is run in way more decks
  • @JohanLucain
Fantastic. I've been building a deck with transaction roll back and tearlament and this video gives valuable informations for mill strategies. Thks for your work.
  • @flamehaze59
This is incredible 😊 I'm a active Purrely Ghostrick player and I'm mind-blown!! 😮 Fantastic!
