Firstly, sorry about the bad audio quality. The audio failed to pick up on the recording, so it only has the sound coming out of the speakers & going back into the microphone. This was recorded in a rural bus stop where I was sheltering from the rain, hence the birdsong, & the splashing noise at the end is a car driving past.

The emergency alert was received by my phone 1 minute 31 seconds after 14:00 UTC on St George's Day.

After the emergency alert, a message was read by an automated voice, in an American accent, which I am not happy about. I feel this shows the decline in the standards this country holds itself to – 30 years ago, anything would've been deemed inappropriate except for nice, reassuring BBC RP.
