What It Feels Like Upgrading From CSL DD to Clubsport DD+

So just a heads up here. The dd+ has the most detail ive ever felt in a wheelbase dont listen to the noise. If you are in the US thw texas warehouse is up fully running now. I got my package within 48hours of purchase with overnight shipping. This wheelbase blew my mind its whooping on my simagic 20nm wheelbase and yes ita stronger. The dd+ is more like 22 to 25nm peak and its 15nm holding torque it competes with all of the best most expensive units. Its hard to explain until you feel it. Its truely mind blowing. It doesnt even need full force i almost feel like full force msy be to much detail haha. I cant imsgine more detail. If fanstec works everything out they have another game changing product on there hands. So yeah test it out yall will love it. Its a pc monster and def overkill for ps5 but still so worth it.

Great video thx 🙂 just got the r300 wheel with the clubsport universal hub and love it combined with my csl dd - there is a lot of bad word out about Fanatec, but I can’t complain, even with their customer support

AMS2 with that new wheel base must be amazing.. I have the CSL DD, and AMS2's FFB is my favorite sofar.

I'm coming from dd2 to CS DD. For me much better as my old DD2. Incredible FFB effects and more realistic!!

I'm a PS5 console player at the moment. Right now, I'm only playing GT7 & ACC with a controller. I was considering the DD+ but decided on getting the GT DD pro 8NM package with CSL pedals since this will be my first sim racing rig. Along with a Playseat Trophy. I figured let me start mid level, and if I like it. I will treat myself in October for my birthday or in December for Christmas. Thanks for this information to help me lean even more into getting the DD+ down the line.

Thanks for this, also considering the DD+ but it would cost me about as much as what I would pay going for Simagic Alpha+NeoGT wheel after selling my Fanatec stuff. Hard choice.

Great video, just for your own information, dont try to power off the base while it is booting up, it can get bricked ( some units have this hardware/software problem and you will be locked out of using the wheel until it is RMA'd ). Ran into this issue my self, and fanatec's costumer support being absolute garbage as of today ( no info about the problem, no confirmation that it will even get replaced ... ), i dont recommend trying it out.

I understand that the Febr 2024 GT7 update did dial the Torque sensation down, so double check your in game settings after the update, if you feel less torque

I been testing the dd plus against the podium dd1 (ps4/5 version) I wasn’t expecting this, but the dd plus is better than the podium, and I love my podium and no not placebo effect here. I have 2 rigs set up so I can go back and forth. Dd plus just seems a tad more responsive, much stronger vibrations/haptics, much smoother ffb, overall better experience, slides are much more obvious before they happen, and full force in the future, it’s the best console compatible base right now, Xbox,ps,pc.

Difference in "feel" can be attributed to the new QR2 so I don't know how much can you attribute the feeling being better just with the new base

I tested yesterday the difference from DD pro vs. DD+. I can say the + is way better. Not only the torque, its the constant torque from the + base. Much better then the Pro. I today ordered the DD+. The DD Extreme wheel i didnt like.

I'm currently playing EA Sports WRC 23 on a 4 year old CSL Elite wheelbase. It mounts flat on a wooden Ricmotec sim and has the perfect wheel angle. I was admiring your beefy NLK adjustable side brackets, but can't find anything like them online. Could you please provide the name of the supplier? I think they will give adjustability to the DD+ flat bottom when I upgrade. Great review!

I feel like the CSL DD Pro loses FFB after 60 min or so. I do not feel it getting hot ever but the ffb goes away and is not the same as I drive the same way for laps then the same feeling has me over driving the car and killing my stuff.

Where did you get the side clamps for your DD+?

If I ever upgrade fro. My csl dd... im 100% getting the Clubsport base! I considered sim magic, but tbh I still prefer fanatec

Wait since when did the WRC wheel get limited to 8nm?! I thought that was only if you used the supplied QR1 lite with the dimple on the quick release. But when you change it to a QR1 or QR2 it allows full torque

I think this is better than the simagic and simucube offerings.
