The ultimate leasing machine
-
Had I invested in Nvidia when you guys first started displaying the name in your intro, I'd be able to afford this car.
-
"could have been worse" is the greatest praise to a current bmw design

3:30 Pay mandatory b58 tribute.

Let’s be honest here. The ACTUAL only reason why you buy the Cayenne is because your Porsche dealer “needs” you to buy 3-5 cars from them before they allocate you a GT3 you’ll spend 5 years waiting for.
-
I had a 2019 X5 40i and now have a 2023 X7 M60i. Looked at the Cayenne both times but just could not understand why it cost 40-50k more outside of having to pay the Porsche tax. Finally good to see a review that actually tackles that ridiculous delta instead of pretending both cars are equally priced.

Mark's smile while Jack talked about the B58 was hilarious. Lol.

in Mar 2020 I bought a 2020 x5 40i after seeing your video on the 2019. It's been the best car I have bought till date and it's been quite a few cars. the B58 is truly God's engine and paired with that zf 8spd, it's glorious. I've done 74k miles in 4 years and I expect to hit 150k by 2028. I want to push it as far as I can and I believe she can take it all. It makes no sense buying a Cayenne or a range rover when we have this and the GLE shouldn't even be in this conversation. great video, as always. cheers

I appreciate the effort going into sfx for jack's forearm

The Easter Egg of what song you guys have on the screen will never get old for me. Love it.

9/10 mechanics recommend

Lmao just casually throws it around corner mid convo

It is iDrive 8.5 just a more stripped down version. 2023 built BMW i4 also has this. Which means it still has the faster processor of 8.5 and new better layout compared to 8.0, but less gimmicks.
-
Don't get the V8. The I6 has plenty of power and the V8 engine compartment is so cramped that repairs are more expensive if you plan to own long term.
-
Sweet spot trim is 50e, best of both worlds, Car & Driver achieved 3.9 0-60 test(exact same time they got fromM60), get 100+ MPGe as commuter if you charge at home, for $80K US w/ M Sport package (not including rebate if eligible)

Morning geese, thanks for the drop and enjoy your week 🙌

Rented a 2024 X5 xDrive40i last week for my family vacation. We were impressed, it did a lot of things really well.
-
Just bought the 4.0 Xdrive. Gave our 08 X5 to our son with 80,000 mile. New one drives great and love it. Hope to keep it 15 years.

According to the statistics gathered from my own shop, the latest iterations of BMW engines (especially the B58) are built substantially well. As long as you do your maintenance, these engines should reach 100K miles. But regardless, German engines run hotter. Their regulating coolant temps are 220-230F. And when running in extreme heat like Texas summers, plastic hoses will crack, gaskets will harden, etc.

The dissonance of talking up the infotainment system while it ignores repeated touch inputs @2:00 is immaculate. These systems should be outlawed for how dangerous the distraction is 😮
