Welcome back to Cambodia Chris. The dish you are eating is a Khmer traditional dish called nom pachok, itโs rice noodles with green curry fish broth, loaded with fresh veggies. Thank you for giving her the extra cash ๐ฐ that will really help her out. Sheโs s real sweet lady โฆ she tried her best to communicate with youโฆ even though she didnโt understand your Englishโค Khmer people are the sweetest and most gentle souls.

The communication you had with the lady selling nom banch chuk (noodle with lemon grass fish soup), made my husband & I laughed so hard. We both Cambodian, we understand your interaction. Thought you both were so sweet. You made language barrier a non issue, loved it. Youโre such a gentle soul. Hope all the best to you & may god bless you ๐ Think the lady plugging hair may not be โnormalโ, many of those in Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge, unfortunately. So sad ๐ญ

Awesome video! :D I moved here to Phnom Penh 7 months ago. 0 negative experiences to report. This city has treated me well. ๐
-
The food you bought from the lady is called nom-bonh-chok (itโs rice noodles)
-
authentic and Awesome content Chris. I'm experiencing exactly the same thing as I have just moved permanently to Cambodia. I have not found Cambodia to be any more dangerous than any of the big cities that I have lived in anywhere in the U.S. The people I have met are friendly and welcoming. And the food is fantastic from most street vendors you see. Enjoy Cambodia and I am glad that your subscribers talked you into returning to the Land Of Smiles.
