National Parks Made for Us

Published 2022-05-27
The National Parks are indeed amazing! There are more than 400 National Park Units; 6 3 traditional National Parks. There are several days during the year that the National Parks are free to enter; Dr Martin Luther King, Jr Day in January as well last Earth day in April and Veteran's Day in November; The Great American Outdoors Act on August 4 and National Public Land Day on September 24 as well. We have the Passport book and try to get the stamps and stickers for all the units we can!

We are a newly retired couple, and now that we have traveled to the fantastic Pacific Northwest and the Southwest, we have many more plans which include more of Florida then the North East too! Come join us on our adventures as we check out as many states as we can, meet new friends and reconnect with both friends and family along the way. So It's about time now, because tomorrow is not guaranteed. We would love to hear from you about your road trips and adventures.

After a lifetime of public service, retired Coast Guard, raising 3 amazing children and focusing on everything but ourselves, we've decided it's about time we start enjoying life to the fullest. So we invite you to join us as we (and our 2 Australian Shepherds) tackle the great American road trip in our RV.

We thank you for watching!

I enjoy watching your videos, great content big like for you my new friend!
  • We love so many NP. It would be hard to pick a favorite, but I'll say Yellowstone or Grand Teton. Or maybe it's whichever one I'm visiting at the time. Our America the Beautiful Pass is one of our best purchases when we went full time.
  • @RetiredLovingIt
We have plans to see more National parks! We got a National parks pass for $20 that lasts our lifetime 😊
  • @ColoradoMartini
You can't RV to it. But you have to go to Volcanoes NP. We just went.
  • Very good information! We hope to visit more parks in the future. We will downsize first of course.

I'm in Florida. Everglades is probably one of the closest National Parks to me. Great facts about our National Parks. I learned some new things. Thanks 👍
  • Thanks for the video. I love the National Parks and Monuments. Last year we traveled across country and we visited 15 of them from Calif to Tenn, to Ohio and across to Wyoming and Idaho. I still have a few to go in the lower 48. Outside the lower 48 I have been to Denali in Alaska and Volcano in Hawaii. My favorites are Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Volcano. I have more on my bucket list. .
  • Nice video! We do love exploring the National Parks. Have really started since we started camping and wish we hadn’t waited so long. So many beautiful places - each time we go to one it becomes our favorite! Thanks for the tips!

Hello, my dearest Diana and Brad! Oh, the system of National Parks looks really amazing! Hope, really hope to visit some of them one day! My dreamy trip is in the US!! Have a blessed and joyful weekend and much love from me always! And thanks for this very nice and informative upload! Renata

Great info Diana!!! I did not know Yellowstone had over 1/2 the world's geysers. We managed to get into Grand Canyon on the National Park Service birthday for free, we had our National Park pass out and ready but didn't need it. We still have so many national parks yet to see! I guess Grand Canyon would be my favorite so far. We have been so busy renovating our house and swamped with our business, but hope to catch up with you two soon. Debbie - BluWave Odyssey

I really appreciate the insight you bring to this. I'm an expert when it comes to Texas State Parks, but I know almost nothing about National Parks.
