Lego Monkie Kid but it's mostly just Mk and Wukong scenes that make me happy (s1-4)

Spoilers, obviously

I almost let Macaque hog the spotlight each time he appeared but I compromised by giving him a Single Clip to hijack

Goku really out here being a better dad to MK than the rest of his children lmao
  • "The only way to get Self Confidence is-" "Fake it till I make it?"
  • XD I just realized that before 2:08 when WuKong raised his brow, it sounded like a shotgun. No wonder the phrase 'shots fired' popped up XD

1:38 that’s ADHD that’s literally the perfect way to describe it

22:05 I love the slight implication that, despite all the traumatic bullshit she made him go through, MK still sympathized with Lady Bone Demon and even kind of related to her, in the pursuit to help make the world a better place only to end up doing the opposite and leading to a path of pain. :( Not gonna lie... part of me wish those two could've reconciled eventually.

I dont think is that weird that Wukong has a lawyer, he has like... A ton of in-universe merch and stuff

I think MK unconsciously sees Wukong as his father and cares about him as if he were his own life, but he may not be able to accept it because he has never had a family all this time and partly because he is his mentor. By the way, I noticed something, even when Azure was attacking Wukong's scroll with his sword, Wukong protected MK because if MK had not had the scroll in front of him at that time, MK would have been seriously injured. I'm seriously watching this series just because of these two.
  • 1:24 Monkie king reading a book during the fight like Kakashi from Naruto c:
  • The bond between MK and wukong is one of the highlights of Lego Monkie Kid and one of the main reasons why I LOVE this show!!! Would like to see more. Bet it's been a long time since Nez Ha had seen wukong this protective of someone, since Tripitaka. Wukong also seems like a first time parent. Nobody gets it right the first time. But as you explained in the Macaque "your heart's in the right place" so Wukong I would say you're doing a pretty good job. You care about and love Mk. That's all that matters
  • Mentor student trope is my fave. They bring out best and maybe worse in each other
  • Just a dad and his adopted son that might not be adopted because I don’t know the lore hanging out
