The Porsche Taycan 4S is an electric car made by a manufacturer who has a history of making cars, but its pricing can go up to $160,000 so you could expect or think it'll be almost perfect. Here are my thoughts.

Note: A couple of days ago Porsche announced an over-the-air update to their infotainment that includes adding Android Auto to the Taycan. The Taycan already had some of this system in place so it's unclear how many of our gripes will be addressed when it arrives. Also we are aware that the Model S Plaid is price comparable to this. It wasn't shipping when we reviewed this car and we can only do one car at a time. We'll be happy to check out the Plaid when/if we can. Porsche made it easier by offering short-term rentals.

I just gotta say, the level of quality we are getting from LTT's team is just getting insane. I remember the days, with the room watercooling projet, the content was great before, don't get me wrong but man, I'm impressed.

Bring it to cliché corner!!

Being a car guy & hearing linus complain about the driving mode resetting upon start up & the HVAC being crap without knobs / switches is a really hilarious cross between my two favorite hobbies - tech and cars lol
-
Now it's got real life DLC. Thanks dbrand

You know you can afford a porche when you can throw your jacket and it doesn't touch the floor.
-
Oh we got super daddy Linus at the start there

ok hands down i demand Linus and the whole team to do a car review channel. this is a proper car review. nice shots of power sliding btw.
-
One thing ima say for Linus to know, someone’s probably said it, but they didn’t under rate the hp because the numbers they give are what the engine or batteries can put out. This does not include the powertrain loss which is usually around 15% horsepower loss from the motors delivering the powers to the wheels. So while they torque is underrated, the horsepower is probably on the money

Gotta give LMG props, at least when they test a car at spirited speeds they do it at a local race track. Love having Mission Raceway Park be so local for some fun once in a while.

I work at VWGOA and work closely with infotainment teams. I will be passing this video onto them if they’re not already getting it from non-IT business teams. Thanks Linus, love watching your channel.
-
It always impresses me that when LTT gets serious, they can consistently deliver some of the most well rounded, considerate, and high quality review content on this entire platform. More of this pls
-
It's great to go back and watch this video now that Linus owns one of these. He totally deserves it.
-
Not gonna lie, that was the best LTT intro this year.

As a german I can totally relate to the software being not thought through completly. Germany is stuck in middle age in so many places. As long as you stay with mechanics and stuff, everything is top notch, but as soon as you come to things related to software and use cases that were born after 2000 it feels like the train left without us. (No real digital government services..paper...paper...fax, schools didnt even manage to provide online lessons during the lockdowns and it goes on like that...) Besides that, great review :)

"this car would be better if three of these displays were gone" Me everytime im driving a newer car. THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH BUTTONS AND KNOBS After a short time getting used to the layout, you will never have to look at them again. Meanwhile you have to look at the screen every time you do anything. Only exception is having your navigation. Which should be on a heads up display. The tech is there already

I like how Linus acts like a dad and protects his friends when he launches the car or does pulls
-
A high school friend's parents bought a PT Cruiser with flame decals on it. They called it their "Mid-life Chrysler."
-
Funny that now he owns one finally, good for you man, awesome car.

No joke, you should have Alex do his own spinoff car review channel. Your format is really clean easy to consume and just a joy to watch
