I was hoping they'd give a shout out to Diedrich Bader...I’m sure he'd would have been there but he's doing the drywall up at the new McDonald's.
  • 1999. I worked at the computer gaming company Sierra. (Renton, WA) We all got called to a meeting and told we were to be let go. They escorted us out of the office building and gave us a movie ticket. About 5 of us walked over to the theater right next door. None of us knew what the movie Office Space was about but we went in. We found it very appropriate to our current condition! It’s one of my all time favorite comedies.

I went to see this when it came out with about 7 work mates of mine because we all worked on a similar office environment (software company) . We didn’t laughed for a minute. We watched the movie in silence. We were all terrified. That was not a movie but a documentary about our day to day life. Even the boss with the little mug was spot on. We were all in awe and amazed. After we left the theater we laughed for hours. Then the next day at the office was just insane because no matter where we looked we saw the movie in real life. And then our boss with his mug came by and couldn’t understand why we were all cracking up every time he passed by. 😂

I concur with Mike Judge. There's no doubt that Lumberg became a tech CEO, ran the company into the ground, and received a golden parachute as everyone else was laid off.
  • 20:43 - I believe that the reason why Ron Livingston’s version of Peter worked so well, is he also captured the “I hate my life” energy of Al Bundy from Married With Children.

Steven Root is amazing. His Gaston Means character performance in Boardwalk Empire is a total masterpiece.

David Herman deserves more recognition; he was hilarious in MadTV.

Mike Judge is the greatest. I hope he does something big again soon. Silicon Valley was absolutely brilliant as well.

I see something from this movie at my company almost every day. One of the best comedies of all time
  • @boyter8
One of my favorite movies of all time.
  • The meeting with the Bobs is one of the greatest scenes of all time.

Office Space is easily one of the greatest comedies of all time. It's certainly brought me many laughs over the years.

David Herman seems like he is high AF
  • It was nice seeing the cast of office space interview whoever this lady is…
  • I saw Office Space in the theater on Saturday night with my wife. On Monday I went into my job as a cubicle dwelling application engineer about eight months into my job. I was then downsized along with a couple other engineers despite having excellent reviews. As I walked through the company parking lot to my car parked at the far end the corporate helicopter took off. It had snowed so the lot was covered in sand put down for traction. I was pelted with snow and sand as the helicopter dusted me while I carried my stuff in a box to the car. This movie holds a special place in my heart. 😊
  • Saw it in the movies only a month into my second office job. It changed my life.

I recall creating a directory on our office server called /Corporate Training with a subdirectory called /TPS reports. A downloaded copy of Office Space survived in there until the system was replaced.

Even though it was rated R, I saw Office Space in the theatre when I was 16. I'm 40 now and it is still my favorite movie.
  • @Awesoman
I didn't even recognize David Herman. Dude looks completely different from the movie.
