  • The Weeknd's voice really found its perfect place for the fantasy worlds. Its ethereal.

"I thought I could protect you from paying for my sins." After watching the ending of the film, that line hits harder than I would've realized.

1:17 "No matter what they say my love for you is greater than their powers and their armies from above, You give me strength"

There is no wonder that the Avatars franchise is one of the most successful franchise movies ever, they really feel different from other movies, James Cameron brilliant mind never cease to amaze me.
  • We lost our first son almost 14 years ago so this movie and song hit me so extremely hard. I think people thought I was having a nervous breakdown when I saw the movie!

13 years worth waiting...Bravo James Cameron. This IS ART
  • @RealSounds
This is not just a song, this is art. 🙌
  • "Until I see you again, it's war we're facing." The Weekend went hard with these lyrics. Especially with how impactful the end of the film was. Rest with Eywa, Neteyam. 🙏🏼🕊 Mighty Warrior, Brother, and Son.
  • How did this song not get nominated for an Oscar? Imo, it's the best original song from a film last year.

This film is a remarkable achievement for the film industry in how films can be made and technically achieved. Since the first film, no one has ever done what James Cameron could do technically and the fact that this sequel has topped what he has done is just mind blowing for me and I'm sure for the people that saw it.
  • While the lyrics make me emotional because you see it from Jake's pov as a father whose lost a son, the chorus of this song is what really gives me chills. It sounds like an echo of all pandora crying out as the sky people destroy the planet just like they did Earth. Every living creature on pandora is coming together to fight without hesitation, pregnant women, children, the animals of pandora- all to protect their home and the ones they love.

If you truly focus in the lyrics and have watched the movie, the song is only highlighting the ending and nothing else. It’s talking about the Sully’s pain and experience after 'that' event. Particularly Jake with how it talks about defending those and everything he loves. Almost as if the lyrics are connected to the third iteration and probably will be a serious topic of discussion for the next one.
  • The start lyrics hit hard after watching a very particular scene in the movie 😢
  • Let's also give a credit to the women's choir whose voices can be heard in the background. Divine chants that take us to the beyond...
  • @CurstSaden
Powerful, not just in the context of the movie, but also as an anthem for those who would protect those they love
