I'm aware of the dangers of going sober cold turkey and will be monitoring my health closely. If for some reason I have to end up tapering off (drinking small amounts of alcohol to avoid the more serious physical withdraw symptoms) then I will, and I'll be honest about it. I'll just have to extend my sobriety to make up for those lost days.
-
You can do it Rusty
-
"...and this, is my last drink." Immediately cuts to a tequila ad. Stay classy, youtube.

2 and a half years off heroin. Life is better now. You got this, dude. Edit: also therapy. Meetings didn't work for me. I'm one of the few that's stayed sober without meetings.

He says he will lose respect, I will respect any human who is going to fight an addiction for the sake of their mental, physical, and emotional health
-
Imagine not watching Rusty Cage for 3 years and then randomly getting recommended a video about him getting sober.
-
My uncle died from withdrawals when he tried to go cold turkey.. this isn't a joke at all. Hope your sobriety is going well. Update: I've been sober for 5 months now and it feels great
-
Rusty, you haven't lost any respect. In fact, I think you've gained more.
-
Addiction is a real thing. I quit cigarettes easy, but drinking was hell and well... lol. Good luck man.

My father lost his father at the age of 20 (his dad was 50 at that time) due to liver cancer because of daily alcohol consumption. The guy wasn't a softie either, he was in good condition. Let this motivate you in your journey.

i’ve smoking weed everyday for a couple years, my anxiety which was why i was doing it only got worse, i’m on day 3 of being sober right now.

Rustys liver is thanking him right now

I completely get you on that whole idea that sometimes being inebriated helps you creatively. Many of the ideas I've come up with for gags in my videos are ones I thought of when I was smoking weed. High MDB does the ideas, Sober MDB implements them. Good luck on your month, man!

I've been sober for 10 years. It's been the most boring 10 years of my life but at least I can function without needing to be high or drunk. Good luck Rusty.

While in Recovery I learned drinking and drugging were not my “problem” they were my “half assed solution” of “self medication” and once I focused on what made me want to use, I like many found my true issues under mental health issue(s) that went undiagnosed and misdiagnosed for most of my life. It took me a long time to get to that “breakthrough moment” but after almost everything made sense and I had felt like I used a sledgehammer for a headache. I hope you find some peace through your journey. I believe in you and wish you the best. I'm glad your not letting the bottle dictate your life any longer. Time is very precious. Spend it wisely. Good luck!

Not trolling, if anyone is going to do this and owns firearms, let a family member or friend hold them for a little while. I've seen this, you do not want this.

to anyone who says "just 30 days," please, reconsider before saying that to anyone. you dont know how hurtful it is to belittle what they really see as an accomplishment, what really is an accomplishment. chances are, you really dont know what it's like
