That mini heart attack he had when he thought he had a check engine light is remarkably relatable 😂

A nice honest review. I worked at Crewe for 37 years and the development & testing we put into that car was huge. As for the VW parts - yes we did use many of their parts but we often tweaked/redesigned/retuned to a Bentley spec and made them much better - that really pissed off the Germans🤣🤣

I really enjoyed hearing Matt's genuine appreciation of this car, for all the right reasons, not the perceived bling or status. Bentley would be my choice as well.
  • @spiritzen
Your reviews are very honest, not just about the cars but about the psychology of the buyer. You're able to express the mindset, feeling and emotions of a buyer, car lover or petrol head so succinctly and eloquently. Subscribed.
  • Matt. What a beauty! This video was different to all your others. This wasn't just a guy in the know, reviewing a piece of machinery. This had all the joy of a 6 year old telling the world about the best Xmas present he'd ever received. It had real passion. In these times, it was lovely to hear. Fella, looks like you've climbed your Everest. Well done, you.

When you say about parts. Mat Armstrong on his you tube channel did up a salvage one and was adviced by bently to check out the main dealer prices on parts. He was shocked as a brand new wing was about £700 cheaper than the price he paid for a second hand part. Main dealers aren't always main stealers

Superb channel with an articulate classy guy who knows how to talk and present himself, genuine pleasure to watch and listen with my kids, with no worries of hearing bad language, brilliant

Fantastic review! A breath of fresh air from all these auto-journalists that take every single car to the track or doing 0-100 km sprints! Nice, calm, non-pretending & with a nice sense of humor, you're a natural, sir!

Almost feel guilty watching this for free! Top quality content mate

Did anyone else go straight to auto trader to price one up after watching this for 10 mins?
  • @quadtraxxx
You just know that the guy in the E-Type was saying “oh look, a Bentley Continental...”!
  • @haoyuan5
My goodness! Your down to earth review coupled with colourful cinematography and cheeky jokes really elevate this video from automotive journalism to top class entertainment!!! My respect and congratulations goes out to you sir.
  • @8-bitstorm
I've been getting into a lot of car YouTubers and you sir are one of the best! Really enjoy this style of review, and the cars featured in them.

Absolutely 200% right in everything you said. I’ve just bought a W12 Flying Spur with all the Mulliner trim because I need a full 5 seater and it’s brilliant. Just averaged 25.7 mpg down to Devon and nearly massaged myself to sleep on route🙂
  • @BorisG13
One of my all-time favorite cars. I remember looking it up when I was a child and just staring at it. It’s absolutely gorgeous, but not overstyled.
  • @supersonique001
One of the best and most accurate/honest reviews I have ever watched and can personally relate to having had a good friend buy a continental with a dubious history and paying for the consequences! Everything you say is correct, I would only add make sure to get a pre purchase inspection done at an authorized Bentley dealer on any car you plan to buy! Amen!
  • @dugalreid8933
"Lists Germany as two countries"....excellent and witty historical reference - classical education, impressed....how is the negotiation for tv deal coming along ?
  • @gjmob
I'm an Aussie, and I still got the Phillip Schofield joke.
  • @mikemadasafish
I think this is one of the best car buying videos I have watched. Excellent advice. As the owner of a 17 year old Toyota Yaris - highly regarded for its reliability- I can relate to the "things will fail due to age" comments. Great advice, excellent presentation and engaging. Thanks
  • I recently purchased a 2004 with low mileage and in near mint condition. Have been super satisfied and would recommend owning this fine car.
