Our experience with many, many batteries is that invariably, the Duracells are the ones that leak. We've tried many different brands....Energizer, Rayovac, Kodak, the cheap Chinese brands that come already installed in the equipment, etc., and Duracells are the only ones that leak. We now buy only Kirkland brand batteries when purchasing alkalines, and we have yet to find them leaking. Of course, we aren't as meticulous as you are with changing them regularly but I daresay most people aren't so there's definitely a need for "better," non-leaking batteries. We haven't noticed that the Kirkland batteries are otherwise any worse than Duracells. Thanks for covering an interesting topic.

Great Video, again! A Question. I haven't done it m but wonder about some di electric grease on the kitchen clock? Mine has done what yours did, but your video made me think about a solution, Thoughts?

Great video. You obviously know your stuff when it comes to batteries. What are your thoughts on the newer rechargables? They are getting so cheap nowadays. For example the ones I'm referring to are the green top Amazon branded batteries. I I have slowly been switching over to 100% rechargables. Seeing you using all traditional disposable batteries makes me think Im making the wrong decision. I actually find it incredibly convenient to be able to charge up batteries when they run low. It seemed I would always be running out of disposables. There is an extra cost to get switched over initially especially if you have alot of battery operated devices like your self. What are your thoughts?
