Wearable Art! This is a diy/tutorial on how to upcycle a thrifted blazer. Mine is pink tweed, but yours can be anything you want. We will create a beautiful and romantic collage using flower applique, bird applique from a pillow cover, vintage lace, ribbon detail and vintage mother of pearl buttons. We will also be adding a layered ruffle and fringe to the sleeves and bottom. Create a one of a kind piece to wear or sell (like I did for many many years). I try my best to give detailed, understandable instructions, this is more like a class.

Very nice! When I go out about town in the clothes I've made from your tutorials, I feel like I'm putting on my "regalia." I have things that I'm so proud of, that everyone complements me on. Some things only took me an hour or so, and are unique and look so pretty. Thank you for the inspiration!

I love the jacket. I have been doing some experimenting and find a cropped jacket looks best on my short rounded figure. I made a cropped flannel upcycle and a denim jacket and plan to do so much more. Upcycling has made my wardrobe so much more fun to wear!
  • I looooove this transformation Traci & how you encourage everyone to design their own wardrobe that is perfect for them! And as a bonus, saving garments/items that would probably just go to landfill 👏🙌 Another fabulous creation & video. Thank you!

You’ve got me sitting here, eyeing a reversible, flowery quilted chair cover and imagining cutting the flowers off! And I just remembered my mauve pink brocade work jacket that I never wear since I retired. Now, I must figure out what to do with it!

Another wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much! You are so creative and you inspire us all to take our plain clothes and make them in to "wearable art" by being brave with our scissors and expanding our imaginations.
