How To Upcycle An Old Top With Vintage Lace

I've started sewing again because of your videos. I want you to know how uplifting you are and how you have inspired me. I love that you create beautiful items but you enjoy the slight imperfections. That's what gives me the confidence to do this because I always thought I had to make everything completely perfect. But the imperfections are what make it so amazing and beautiful. Your creations are truly magical. You've inspired me so much over these last few months ❤️ I'm learning to see fashion outside the box and thanks to your vision and tutorials I'm now sewing my dream outfits 😊

I've been working through a lot in my head these past 18 months or so, and reached a place where it interested me in making an effort again with my self care around 6 months ish ago, and not long after discovered you! You've not quite transformed my entire life, but I tell ya, you're doing one hell of a transformation on my wardrobe! 😁 I've always loved boho, shabby, non conventional clothes, but all I had was straightforward basics. Simple, serviceable, and nice enough, but plain. At least.... I did! I've transformed jeans, tops, dresses, and actually made (following other tutorials) brand new dresses, tops and skirts, but jazzed them up in your style. I've made a fabulous boho cross body slouch bag, working on a snippet roll style watch strap, and even cut and spliced fabric onto a pair of wedges! I'm transforming me, but you put a neatly shoed foot up my arse, to make me WANT to take better care of myself. And I am! And I intend to do even more of it and not lose sight of myself again! Any man destined to be in my future better have his shit together and treat me with the respect I deserve, because I'm not playing second fiddle to anyone any more! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm so glad I found you. I appreciate you! You helped give me back a part of myself I forgot I once was, and you have no idea of the impact of that or what it means to me. It's almost pointless saying this top is gorgeous, everything you make is! But a jazzed up white vest - you can't really go wrong! Every wardrobe needs at least one cute white vest! And this one is perfect! 😘😘😘 xxxxx

I went thrift shopping with my granddaughter today and I think I saw at least 10 blouses like the one you started with. Next time I go to Goodwill I’ll be buying one for this project! Thank you for sharing! ❤❤Judy❤❤

Now this!!! I love it, I have a top that will work perfectly. Need to head to the thrift store for some lacy things! Thank you!! By the way, I did the denim skirt, taking a pair of jeans and adding denim down the split jeans and itturned out beautifully! I also made some bell bottom jeans out of skinny jeans with lots of fraying! My husband thinks they are pretty darn sexy!❤🌷🇨🇦

This is exactly what I needed! I have a couple of white sleeveless tops that I rarely wear (old lady arms). I can add some lace and ruffles to make a little cap sleeve and embellish the neckline!!
