I bought a wrecked BMW M3 G80 Competition after it had been crashed into a house. The car has unregistered damaged but if the insurance were to inspect this car then for sure it would be declared a complete write off. But im determined to prove them wrong and fix this M3 safely & under budget.
Thanks so much to @jackbuildsit for the help with this build! We couldnt of done it without him!

Guys get a proper mask on when painting, trust me. I have lung damage from not doing this 😢

20:10... I love your dad... His positive energy and permanently smiling face serve as perfect icing on the cake. Thank you for such wonderful content!!!

Hi Mat, because of you I have decided to, for the first time in my life, change front disks with brake pads and tie rod ends on my 15 year old car on my driveway. I'm proud to say its a success. The money I saved on labour can now be channeled towards a urgent timing belt change at the mechanic shop. Greetings from Cape town and thank you for inspiring me to have the courage to do something I had no clue on how to work on my car.

Seeing Jack is making an appearance I’ve never been so giddy. He’s honestly a magician with bodywork!

I am sure someone else has mentioned this in the comments but here I go just in case not....where the 1/4 panel meets the other parts I would normally put a sleeve behind the joint. Just a small piece maybe an inch wide will work well. When making the mark on the roof rail and rocker panel, these pieces can be trimmed to use as the backer part. This allows you to have some wiggle room where they come together and lets you weld without worry of melting the thin sheet metal. If you are really experienced with welding sheet metal it isn't required but I always found it helpful. It only takes a few minutes to prep the sleeve and tack it into place. Other than that I think you guys did a really good job, especially for someone who has never done this before. It is great to have someone like Jack to guide you. This is going to be a really sweet deal when you are complete.

Me and my 6 year old son really enjoy watching your car builds.. Amazing skills

What a massive amount of work, but looking great!

Jack is a dude for coming over and helping, taverish only knows the best of guys..❤

Honestly so amazing to see all this craftsmanship. It is so hard to cut out exactly enough, let alone stand cut out panels from another car EXACTLY right so it fits. And then welding everything nicely. Work it out so you don’t see it after paint alone is hard enough already. Not to even mention how hard it is to keep overview in what has been cut away and needs to come back. The skills are through the roof.

Take advantage of every second of this. I lost my dad at 26. I'd take a bullet in the head to have one day with him. Anything. An the channel wouldn't be the same without your dad. Cherish it Matt. Your so lucky! Don't take a second without him for granted. It's so awesome

Good decision to bring Jack on board. He’s the best at what he does💯💪
-
Yet another absolute triumph. Jack did a great job matching up those panels and welding the seams. The colabs with the guys from the US are a great touch and must be getting the channel a good deal of exposure in the US.

This is top work mat, it's looking good even without paint. Getting jack on board was a huge bonus 👍

Jack's the man. Love all your channels. You, slix, jack, Tav and saving salvage. I never get anything done!!

Awe awe. Could all my fellow South Africans please gather here, Mat is in the building. 🇿🇦😄

Got to say Jack is a Class Act. Those seams were spot on after he welded it all together. Well done mate nice job.
