I was planning to get the dji mic for the Bluetooth connection feature but after hearing the audio quality of that, I don’t think I want it anymore. Helpful video thx
-
It seems that the Rode's sound was the best.

I don't want to complain because you did a lot of work and a great job, but: I wish you had connected 2 Mic 2s with the Mic 2 receiver into the adaptor. The cables are Ring, Tip, Sleeve and (in theory) should support an unbalanced stereo signal, if present. It would be interesting to see what happens when the Mic 2 receiver is configured for Stereo. My guess is that their adaptor is mono but no one is talking about it.

Built-in microphone with wind muffs works great. Even better than the sound of the DJI Mic imho (comparing the intro).

Recording onboard using the built Mic's sounded fine, as long as don't have much wind or background noise. And I do want to point out that when using the DJI Mic 2, if your worried about range or sound quality, just record internally to the Mic in 32 bit float, you have plenty of headroom to adjust the sound in post, and range or interference is no longer an issue. Great testing Shawn, thanks for sharing.

Ok, but you forgot the best choice: the movo wireless mini 2 duo with 2 mics. Not only WAY cheaper with only about $ 50 but with no need of the terrible so-called coldshoe mount. Works perfectly on my X3.

This video useful to me. "Travel with Ushakar"

When I activate the 32 bit float on the receiver to record internally in the transmitter, do I have to keep the receiver turned on and mounted onto the X4 or I can just keep it in the charging hub or even turned off? Secondly, does it record audio internally into the transmitter simultaneously when hardwired into the X4? for some audio back up?

Question not exactly on point but I’ll bet you can answer: I’m considering getting the insta360 x4 mic adapter you use in this video, but primarily as a 90 degree angle and door replacement to usb power the x4 while on long motorcycle rides. My question: If I use the mic adapter but no external mic, can I still get audio from the built in mics or does the adapter negate that? Thanks for the help.

What about Ulanzi U-mic AM18 ?
-
DJI Mic 2 via Bluetooth wasn’t too bad. Thanks!
-
Thank you so much Sean for this great comparison video! I have a Rode Video Mic and can't wait to try it out with my X4 (once I receive it hehe). Cheers from Montréal!
-
Rode FTW. Dji mic sounds much worse (which surprised me a bit).
-
What about the movo?
-
What I'm looking for is something that'll record nice audio when mounted onto the camera for vehicle use... mounting on cars/trucks etc and filming driving scenes... can't figure that one out so if anyone has any tips reply!
-
Is that cold shoe secure for the receiver? I can't find a good one for my X4 and DJI Mic 2
-
What about connection with bluetooth headset for phone? Many have price from 10$ and mic inside
-
Xmount360 dji 2 mic mount works great! $49 😢
-
