No one in law enforcement seemed bothered about the dangerous dogs being loose. You did the right thing. The law is wrong. The person who called them should be ashamed
  • @franklopez1186
God bless you for helping the fawn. When you care for God's creatures, you are never wrong.

I m retired from the KCS railroad, while inspecting tracks I found a owl with a broken wing, his eyes were gold and as big as a silver dollar, his wingspan was at least 6 feet. I called Missouri Department of wildlife and they told me do not capture the owl I could get arrested. I hung up and called the Kansas City zoo, they said bring him in. And I did. Thanks so much for sharing.

We are from the government, we are here to help! THIS HAS TO STOP!!!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!
  • @adamlansing5080
Y’all did the right thing, and definitely not overreacting. Y’all need to go to Senator John Kennedy’s office and local state reps to see if they can help get the state law changed. Everyone needs to share this video

I love where your hearts are. In this heart breaking situation you two NEVER said anything bad about these officers. That alone says a whole lot about your character. I hope that whoever turned you in watches this and realizes they made a mistake.
  • You are certainly not overreacting. The whole situation was horrible and offensive. You broke no law by giving that animal a few hours of love. Thank you guys.

OK, you did it, you have driven me to "write a comment on a video." I enjoy seeing your practical solutions to your construction challenges. I LOVED the fence stretcher you developed. I'd do the same thing! But onto to the comment... I will not get into politics or anything that has definitely been a factor in my life of late. But as another viewer stated, yes, reach out to Senator Kennedy. He is a true common-sense-politition. You truly brought tears to my eyes, and how you could talk to us and hold it together, you again, amaze me on your character and strength. I know whoever "called you in" wouldn't feel anything at all if they were to watch what you talked about, but one can hope. Please understand how powerful and strong statement you put out here for us to see. WELL SAID!

You are NEVER wrong, doing the right thing!
  • @stevevigil1395
I don’t think you’re over reacting, you make good common sense and have compassion for life
  • @loucinci3922
Do not ever STOP doing the right thing. Big hearts, y'all. You gave Dasher a few more hours/days to enjoy life. God bless you all.
  • @geraldnewman247
You did the right thing. Now see if you can get the law changed. It's people like you that makes this world a better place. Keep doing the right thing. Your heart is in the right place.
  • @mikeyjr6615
A government has failed when they have become this immoral. Sorry this happened to y'all, what a senseless outcome. And yes, time to go get some of these laws changed!
  • @pineridgefarm
From Virginia here. Y’all are absolutely in the right. God gave us domain over all creatures. That includes their well being. Would have done the same thing hands down
  • @dr.swaster8763
I firmly believe that Dasher was brought into your life for a reason. May his sacrifice lead to the adjustments that make it safe for other deer to be protected.
  • @Lala-up3ib
You can be comforted that Dasher knew love in his short life. He was not ripped apart by dogs and was euthenized humanly. You saved him from great pain and suffering and showed love to Gods precious creature. May you use this for a change and the good of all Gods creatures. God bless y'all and comfort you.❤❤
  • @mwardhammar
Definitely fight that ticket, doing the right thing should not be against the law. Our government has failed us all in many ways.
  • I wish the officers had been allowed the discretion to release Dasher back into the wild as soon as he was healthy. You did the right thing.
  • Born and raised in Maine, I never imagined a state that doesn't rehabilitate wildlife, especially deer. Our state does a fantastic job of managing the deer population, including rescuing and rehabilitating injured wild animals. Wishing you the best of luck, and I hope you can change this law or at least bring attention to the matter! 🍁
