I love oil pulling. First thing in the morning for 10 minutes. I'll add essential oils to my pulling session. Some times Oregano oil and Black Seed oil. The longest I'll pull is 20 minutes. You can do either from what I read on forums in the past. I brush with a separate toothbrush to get the bacteria off my teeth, gums, and tounge. Soak that toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide and water, 50/50 mix will do. I do this because bacteria will build up on the toothbrush over time if I don't. Once a month, I change the toothbrush. In general, I throw away my toothbrushes every month and use a new one because bacteria does build up on them over time. I learned this along the way. Oil pulling pulls water from your system from what I learned. It's good to hydrate after words, either two 8 ounce cups of water or a full 16 ounces of water to help rehydrate your system. I've used many oils over the years but coconut oil has been my main staple for oil pulling. Hope this info I shared helps anyone here.

I read on oil pulling many years ago. If my memory serves me correctly, it’s a practice in India. They use sesame oil and swish for 21 minutes, to allow time for the two large veins under the tongue to filter. The benefits are removing toxins, heal cavities naturally, whiten teeth and yes spit out the substance in the trash, because of the toxins released from the body.

Correct! When I do this regularly, it heals my inflamed gums due to recession, Whitens teeth, and has stopped a cavity in its tracks. Consistency is key.

I have used coconut oil for many years to great effect. It has natural anti bacterial properties and it's the last thing I do at night. Just a tiny bit as it goes far. I don't spit it out, I just swish it around. It also really works for canker sores, scrapes of the mouth etc.
