From a scientific point of view, all the water on the planet isn’t enough to drown all life. But what, by and large, is the difference between them and us. After all, if a monstrous element flooded your city or your country or an entire continent - could you survive? Or would the fate of Noah be waiting for only a lucky few?

"What if there was a 13.0 earthquake" Spends 13 minutes not talking about it.

I'm stunned by the perseverance and strength of Japanese people. Like seriously from nuclear bombs, mega earthquakes to tsunamis

Fun fact one of the earliest warnings on record for the 2006 Indonesia disaster came from a child in elementary school that was vacationing with their family. They had just learned about Tsunamis in school and that the tide goes out when a swell is coming, they warned their parents, they warned the resort, the resort warned the guests to get to safety.

  • Japan recovered from the tsunami and became developed so fast. Really Salute to Japan's hard work .
  • I'm confused by the title. I don't think a 13.0 earthquake was ever discussed.

something that will always put a smile on my face is humans just helping each other in times of need, pretty sad that a tragedy has to occur for people to unite.

Some of your photographs are phenomenal especially of the 2004 tsunami aftermath. Their being in b&w and not colorized makes them much more gut-wrenching as if the whole world was wiped of life; no green plants or colored creatures. I find them much more terrifying than the more "commercial" color ones. Thank you for posting this.

Well after almost 15 minutes I'm still sitting with the first question what will happen if a 13.0 tsunami hits.

We've been hit by a 7.7 earthquake in Syria less than 24 hours ago and now i find myself here
  • As a scientist this is impossible. Anything higher than a 10.0 would be a extinction level event
  • @kangthao5121
The difference between Japan and New Orleans is the culture
  • @serkana3
I’m from Türkiye and a 7.7 earthquake hit us and Syria 1651 ppl has died currently and 11K ppl are injured
