My girlfriend wanted to buy me this game for Christmas because i love zombies. When she ask the employee for that game (Gamestop) he suggest her other games(cyperpunk, dead island ) or a PlayStation store giftcard. Dude is a real hero.

It's funny. The idea of taking the storyline of the show in an alternate direction isn't a bad idea on paper. But without any movement for the cutscenes and having a bad game on top of that, whats the point?

The worst thing about this game is that Rick's VA actually says "Carl" instead of Andrew Lincoln's variations of "Coral" lmao

22:20 That is actually very lore accurate. Walkers tend to ignore any form of danger (even fires) and keeps "hunting" no matter how damaged their bodies become. One good example is "bicycle girl" in the beginning of the show. Would be perfect if they lost bdy parts in this case however, but none of us expects that from this kind of game.. lmao

This had the potential to be one of the best games of the year because the concept of changing the shows story is really cool as a long time fan of the franchise. I gave this game the benefit of the doubt at first. The bad thing is, the first season isn’t done that bad. But the longer the game goes on, especially when you get to the prison (my favourite arc from the show and comics) the quality and story go downhill and it’s obvious. Moral of the story: this game concept should’ve been given to a different company

16:58 What's interesting is that in the show, Maggie is also another very major character (who actually lives longer than Carl). Instead, in the show this scene played out with Shane leaving behind a smaller character named Otis, who Shane actually SHOOTS AS BAIT TO GET AWAY. It seems like they changed the story to force you to kill off one of the biggest characters in the cast either way?

As a huge Walking Dead fan, it is quite funny how this follows the story quite well but also makes it seem so dumb without any of the important context, the soldiers make sense in the hospital as they were clearing out dead zones and killing anyone in sight as they are panicking about the infection, but this game just throwing soldiers in there with no reason 🤣

BROOOO i feel like Otis was a main point of Shane’s character fully becoming insane and only caring for himself

This game looks to be the prime example of 'high ambition, low budget'.

I don’t know if you noticed or not, but at 33:20 Herschel (far left) walks perfectly fine. When he’s missing a leg. He is walking normally with a leg gone. Truly one of the games of all time.

To be completely honest I would have been very offended if a walking dead game didn't have a "walkers only die from headshots" feature, since that's famously the only way to kill walkers in the comics and show

This game has lived rent free in my head for 2 months. A 2023 PS5 game, or something that’s been on a shelf since 2012. It might be a masterpiece😂.

26:30 It seems like the choice to spare the governor's daughter did make an impact because it turned Meryl into the Governor instead of Phillip, and that's why Phillip was added to your HQ. (Also why Meryl lost his eye) In the show, Michonne loses it on Phillip, kills his daughter, and then cuts out his eye too, and Meryl betrays the group immediately after and rejoins the prison. I assume it plays out like that if you kill the daughter like in the show

Fun fact; in the alternate universe where you keep Andrew around, the alarms go off for no reason and Andrew goes batshit for no reason. I've seen plenty of scripting in games but I've never seen one quite so unintentionally funny.
