I take an Amtrak train from New York City to New Haven, CT. After arriving at New Haven’s beautiful Union Station. I eat amazing New Haven style pizza at Frank Pepe’s, one of the greatest pizza restaurants in the country. Then I explore the Wooster Square neighborhood before making my way downtown. I briefly walk through the campus of Yale University before getting a doughnut and coffee from Donut Crazy. Next, I check into my hotel before exploring Long Wharf Park along New Haven Harbor. For dinner, I eat an excellent hot chicken sandwich from Haven Hot Chicken.

My home town! Don't know if I'll ever get back there now. Watching this is bittersweet. So much has changed - but it's still Elm City.

Thanks for the guide James! I'll be passing through there when going to Boston from New York City, and I guess I'm stopping there for a few hours to explore New Haven, Connecticut.

I'll be travelling from Belgium to the US in September. What a coincidence that I'll be staying at the same hotel! Planning to do NYC, New Haven, Providence, Boston, Philly, Baltimore, DC. Watched your video on Providence too and picked up a couple of things from there too so thank you!

Great video! I'm from Connecticut and love New Haven. There's a lot to see and a lot of different cuisines from all over the world for a smaller city.. Plus we do have the best pizza here.. BAR also has good pizza...Hope you come back soon)

Great exploration of the neighbourhood James! To bad about the down pour. You can never predict what the weather will do - that’s Mother Nature! Amazing video as usual!
  • Nice video, I traveled in CT and it is funny for a Californian to see that Pizza is the very main staple in that State, more than NJ or NYC.

If you ever get to Jersey. Papa’s and De’Lorenzo’s in Robbinsville a must. Right up there with John’s and Sally’s.
  • I've been there twice and never encountered the creepy bridge. Next time I go I want to walk that creepy bridge! Great video James, very well made and dramatic. Like a short story full of urban adventure.
