The Nikon Z6 III is the long awaited camera in Nikon's mirrorless system. The new camera features a all new, partially stacked CMOS sensor which enables a host of features that were previously not possible on 24 megapixel sensors because of the slower speed readouts. You can shoot 20fps burst speed raw files and 6K video up to 60p with no crop.

This is the camera we (Z6II users) have been waiting for!! As someone who prefers the Z6II body size for full time photography, this is a MASSIVE WIN. I’ve used the Z 9, Z 8, Z f and I ALMOST settled for the Z f because of how good the AF and low-light was. The Z 6III just take the distance! Well done, Nikon!

I was waiting for this camera for like a year. Pre ordered!

It’s really great to see Nikon is properly back.

Thanks; Will be interesting to see a comparison with the Nikon ZF after using both cameras for a while. The Nikon ZF looks lovely; just like the older SLR's such as the Nikon FM, FM2. But the Nikon Z8, Z7 and these Z6's look great as well.

Just sold my Z5 and now waiting on this beast!

How many upgrades does one person need! World’s greatest pics made on simpler cameras. Cameras now like phones, something new every Xmas. Some just have to have the latest and greatest even if they shoot on auto and can’t navigate the menu. Just my retail experience.

The ZF has been what I've been thinking about getting, but I'd love to see you compare it to the Z6III.
  • Can't take people serious that are disappointent with this camera. This thing is the best in class at everything and above competitors with it's performance in photo and video mode. The price will come down over time or there will be a trade-in or cash-back. Too much complains about nothing.

Not me, I've been around too long to be constantly hit by G.A.S., and one thing I know from experience, for me it's best to wait a few months after a product comes out before making up my mind. In addition, it will also pay off much better for me to have ice in my stomach, and wait for between one or two years before I buy. Because then the price is usually more reasonable, and you also know a little more about the faults/cons via several others serious photographers who are not paid by Nikon or are fanboys, because then it is easier to make the right decision 😉

I think it’s time for me to upgrade from my Z6 to this z6iii!

Let's see extensive testing in low light vs the z6ii, especially photography. Does the partially stacked sensor hold up at high isos vs the z6ii, which is one ot a handful of cameras to have max iso performance on stills. What's realistic for street at night? Nikon has some fast lenses suitable for street, but how fast is af, say on a figure approaching a night tennis court, just outside of the spotlights?

I would like to see somebody test the video. Duration and heating. The lumix has the internal fans virtually eliminating overheating. How does Nikon compare?
  • @astraeusone
The feature set is compelling, but I would like to hear a more in-depth discussion on image quality. How does it handle natural and artificial light? Is the flash sync with the electronic shutter at 1/60 usable? How are the skin tones in different lighting scenarios? How do they compare to the Nikon Z6 Mark I and II, Leica SL, Canon, and other models? Additionally, what is the speed and fluidity like when connecting to the phone app?
  • @mrdarryljones1
We’re in the same boat! Love my. Zf and have a Z6ii that I’m not using as much! Question for your review, how much faster/better is the electronic shutter than the Zf? Glad Nikon let you get your hands on one! 💪🏽
