  • Absolutely brilliant breakdown. It shows how good coaches like Mike Sullivan know how to leverage the strengths of their top players. The penguins are blessed to have him.

crazy how my days of playing hockey have come and gone and these guys are still at this level. It’s like I aged faster than them

Wow Crosby was drafted when I was 5 years old and now Im graduated from college with a full time job and he's still dominating the league playing against guys that were in diapers when he made his debut

"Father time comes for everyone" Joe Pavelski, 39 years old, still on point per game pace:

Great video, so glad you mentioned Malkin. Guy’s game is aging better than ovechkin’s
  • @basedsilly
as a new hockey fan your vids have really helped me understand the game. keep up the great content!!
  • Great video, but Crosby is 36 not 35. I guess that makes it even more impressive

It's gonna be a long-time before we see another player like Crosby. His commitment to a complete game throughout his ridiculous career is evident in the shear amount of Success he's had. Success at all levels. Malkin has always been an underrated superstar in this league but the Perfect #2 man for the Pens during the Crosby era. Many games he's been the best forward and he's always elevated his game when Crosby's been injured. Love both these Legends....

Very interesting thank you. I remember 20 years ago when Lemieux made a comeback at 40+ years old alongside Sid the Kid and it blew me away. He was so slow, but somehow made the play and players go slower, and made them look like fools. Youngsters are quick and agile, but mature people have this slow confident strength. I hope the same for Crosby and Malkin, they can do it for sure.

Love that your videos often talk about the systems being implemented. Very few hockey channels on youtube break it down like you do. Thank you for that. Keep 'em coming.
  • @pocarimodel
god i hope a few years down the line we'll get a last dance docuseries for this team too
  • @jeremylin593
I feel like more people should be talking about Pavelski who is still putting up absurd numbers at 39.

I was a 4th liner in high school. Our coach had us run this exact forecheck, we called it the "passive forecheck." It was wildly effective. We didn't score as much as the other lines, but by the end of the season our line had the best +/- on the team.
  • @Jidds
Crosby's hockey IQ could let him play till hes 50
  • @sports2hedz542
This channel just getting better and better, to weave a nostalgia laden story like that with hard core analysis? Unreal! Great stuff ❤❤❤

If we can get the power play figured out the Pens could definitely be a top team in the league
