An underappreciated aspect to Vashtorr is how well his sleazy salesman mannerisms play off Abaddon's stern straightedge personality. Character contrast, especially among allied villains, is important.

Forge of souls gave me a strong feeling of Perturabo. Sounds more like more his area. Wouldn't be surprised if he took it over when Vashtorr either ascends or is destroyed.

Fun fact during the battle between Azreal and Vashtorr, Azreal had just finished the rubricon primaris surgery and still fought him. Imagine having to fight a hectic cyborg demon after a massive surgery
