I am so glad you are doing Tuesday chats! As a new widow it’s so nice to see smiling happy faces and of course all the quilt info. You will be missed but I do understand this is something you and Ron have wanted to do and I am looking forward to hear about this incredible journey!

I love hearing about your family gatherings. Almost all of mine is gone, but hearing about your family brings back good memories.

My first time helping my grandmother making a quilt was using her new "disk" sewing machine to applique these flowers for her! She had me learn the machine to teach her. I still have the well worn (falling apart in places) quilt. It holds a special place in my heart!

I have had an enjoyable experience of sewing with a hand crank sewing machine once. I was amazed how enjoyable it was to sew with it. The machine almost cranks it self due to the handle weight. You will be surprised how much fun it will be.
  • I just noticed the purple pinky Morse sewing machine on the upper shelf. I’ll bet it’s a 1956. I have that same exact machine and sew on it nearly every day. Her name is Dorothy after my favorite aunt who left her to me but we call her “The Purkle Monster” because she’s so darn heavy and we can’t decide if she’s purple or pink 😆. No computer, bell or whistles just forward, reverse and a few zigzags. But I wouldn’t trade her for anything. Thanks Jenny for another fun Tuesday Newsday.

Catching this on the replay but will add Tuesday Chats to my schedule. My husband and I were in Hamilton Missouri for three days last week! I had a wonderful time exploring all the shops and looking at the quilts and fabrics. We had fun exploring and getting to know some of the locals!
  • So happy you’re doing a tutorial on Vintage Daisy. I love vintage fabrics and quilts. Thanks Jenny❤
  • I enjoy you "Tuesday Newsday" visits. They are fun. Love hearing about your family, y'all's celebrations, and all the goings on at MSQC. Take care and blessings to y'all.
  • I haven't thought of cornbread salad in years! Thanks for reminder!
  • Very jealous of your weather. It is hot and humid on the east coast! Love the flowers and cannot wait for the tutorial.
  • I just love your Tuesday Newsdays! I bought your latest book on a trip to Hamilton. You signed it in Liberty the next day. It is such a neat book! I loved reading about your precious family and all the quilts for different life events. I read the book aloud on our drive home so my husband could enjoy it too. Have a blessed week!
