A 450 like 350? Renner, Keefer, Reis ride the 2025 Kawasaki KX450

Published 2024-08-09
Would a 350 guy (like Ronnie Renner) actually like the Kawasaki KX450? The bike's controllable power delivery might make it the right step to go full 450. Kris Keefer outlines the changes to the Kawasaki that was all-new last year, and invites former supercross pro Trevor Reis and freestyle hero Ronnie Renner to swing a leg over and tell you what they think.

Love the changes they are making with these new kx450s. Lot if it is exactly what I did to my 2022 to tame it down. Been saying for years 350s are over rated and not needed. The 450 just needed tamed down a little. For the racers and fast guys who want more beef there are endless ways they can make a fire breather with that same engine, but for 90% they are better off with a tamer more friendly 450. Glad they fixed the air filter too.
  • Whoop manual was sick, and whatever that crazy box van is looks cool in the background

Reis is no ordinary rider, as his slo-mo wheelying through the whoops shows.

I just looked at a 25 kawi 450 last weekend if it was an SR I would of bought it. Thanks for the great reviews boss 👍
  • I bought the 24, can confirm the Kawi is the slowest 450 I’ve ever owned
