A scene where Casita "appears" i missed in this video: During "We don't talk about bruno" in the first Dolores part, Casita rises and opens a drawer chest so Dolores could stand on it, you know, that part where Dolores looks down at Mirabel saying "Do you understand?" https://youtu.be/nsuo5UoUXGU
  • Okay but Casita photobombing the family portrait like "Me too,mE TOOOO"

I like how the first time casita tuned the stairs into a slide was to prevent the children from going up the stairs, but then the 2nd time, it understood they found it fun and made it more exciting for them

I love Casita's playful side. Like when the kids try to climb the stairs. At first it's a warning that they're not allowed upstairs, but then they thought it was fun and Casita clearly played into it. "Alright, you chiquitos want a slide? How about this! >3"

Nah cause when casita saved camilo, isabela and mirabel while the house is breaking killed me

The cutest and best thing is that Mirabel is always talking to Casita like they're a person even though everyone else just treats them like a magical house.

At 2:45 Casita is basically saying: "Move along, Camilo" for the first smack then "Come on, we don't have all day, kid! Move please!" for the second

When Casita caught Isabela and Camilo as they lost their powers 😢

I find it interesting how in the movie, mirabel is the one character who is most shown interacting with the house, i think this has something to do with the fact that mirabel is the one to "substitute" abuela's role in the family This gets a bit more obvious when mirabel opens the rebuilt house and it gains it's life again, just like how it happened to abuela. I think that scene was meant to show how mirabel is following the cicle (and that her gift is actually connected to taking care of her family and the house.)

I love 1:55 cause instead of getting annoyed at the kids, casita immediately recognizes the kids want to play on the stairs and slide them around more the second time. It's such a nice detail

I'd like to think Casita is actually Abuela's husband's spirit in the house.
  • Never thought a sentient house would be something I'd absolutely want from a magical setting in a movie in my whole life.
  • A large part of me felt that Casita wasnt abuela, but actually abuelo. Mirabels grandfather. Especially since the candle that made Casita appeared after that moment in the beginning and the end of the movie.

To think that Casita's main priority was to save everyone even if it was breaking in on itself is heartbreaking. It's falling down but it still didn't forget about its family.
  • I'm so glad they went with Casita being a loving family member that supported Mirabel. She was almost a salty jealous house that tried to make Mirabel miserable.
