Lyrics:
Another gloomy Monday shows its face. And the instapot coffee’s lost its taste. And the six o'clock train’s always running late. But if I stop now I know I’m never gonna make it. Back to the tragedy, laugh like a comedy, Rogaine society, dial-up lobotomy. Nine to five fantasize about the end of the day, just to wake up and do it all again.

I should have known better than to think that this could change. I should have seen the pattern, how disconnected I became. Climbing that corporate ladder. If you need somebody to take the blame. You can call me a quitter. But I’m calling it a coming of age.

A-ok. I’ll be ok. Ok ok. I’ll be a-ok.

Back to the rat race run in place. I just spin my wheel till my my next lunch break. And hope it gets better with a five cent raise. But I can’t stop until I get paid. I don’t know which is worse, the commute or the hearse. I don’t think that it’s worth it anymore. Sick of living for the paycheck. Blow it on the weekend. I’m giving up and loading up the briefcase.

You don’t know what you don’t know. Until you notice nobody knows what they’re doing. It’s all just a long shot con to get what you want. You make the rules and you get to break them. You set the goal post. Write the score board. You get to choose when you get to go home. You walk the tightrope. You let the cliff go. You get to choose if you want to just go home.

I should have known better than to think that this could change. I should have seen the pattern, how disconnected I became. Climbing that corporate ladder. If you need somebody to take the blame. You can call me a quitter. But I’m calling it a coming of age.

You don’t know what you don’t know. Until you notice nobody knows what they’re doing. It’s all just a long shot con to get what you want. You make the rules and you get to break them.

Not sure how every song hits every fiber of a bitter 30-some year old, but you guys are killing it!
  • @Viontis
There is something about listening to these guys as an almost-30 and in a transitional phase of my life where it all just seems to connect. They capture that feeling amazingly.

I was 39 when I finally figured out that one of the reasons I was so anxious and miserable was because of my job. My whole life I'd been told office jobs were what I should strive for, so that's what I did. Data entry, customer service, claims adjusting, sales... I tried it all and I never found something that didn't make me want to quit every single day. I got fired in 2021 and by chance kind of fell into a job painting interiors as a side hustle while looking for something else. I absolutely loved it, and that kind of work. Now I'm a full time independent contractor, painting and renovating houses and apartments, and I've literally never been happier in a job. Best of all? I get to choose if I want to just go home. Love y'all, thank you for existing and continuing to make amazing music.

The mic cord in the back pocket is the best touch of this. Absolutely appreciate the genuine effort put into diy/indie feel of all videos. They aren't expensive but never feel cheap. You both deserve every bit of success you find.

Wow...right in the feels AGAIN. I worked almost ten years in a corporate job that contributed to a suicide attempt and more than one stay in the mental hospital. I hope anyone out there expericncing this distopian hellscape escapes. It's possible. It's time we make a change for the better.
  • Hard to find music that makes you feel not dead. A masterpiece

This reminds me of alt rock music from my high school days, in the best way possible. Keep killing it guys!

It's been a long time since a band came out of nowhere and gave me goosebumps with just one song. Really, this song is incredible.
  • As an aging punk in his mid thirties, your music speaks to me and I truly appreciate it. It doesn’t hurt that you’re song writing is catchy as all hell. Keep it up!
  • When I'm down, durry makes me feel better and lifts my spirits!!😉😊😊

Another great song. Minnesota should declare an honorary Durry Day!

Millennial adult angst, distilled into music. It hits so hard cuz it's so true...

This song inspired me to go into business for myself and, so far, so good honestly. I can't believe how it's all worked out just from hearing a song. Life, motivations, people, we're crazy man.
  • This is exactly the type of song that I needed! Over the last couple of months, I started realizing the same that no one has a clue what they’re doing…including me. Instead of stressing about it, this song is like a warm blanket about it
  • @zachf573

  • So glad that Durry isn't a flash in the pan. Midwest Bangers baby!!!
