The fact that he could sleep at all suggests that Peter has accepted his fate & trusted in God - that His will was supreme.

Love these. Hadn’t considered the parallels. It’s striking that when Peter was facing martyrdom in Jerusalem God directly intervened in a supernatural way to prevent it. He was truly called to become the first Bishop of Rome. It was by no means arbitrary happenstance.

Thank you Dr. Petri. I truly enjoy your teachings of the scriptures from the Jewish roots. But may I bring to your attention Catholic Productions, sometimes when Dr. Petri is reading from the bible and you are putting up the words for us to follow along, it is not the same words as he is speaking to us. Which for me as a cradle and practicing Catholic it doesn't bother me that much. But for our non catholic brother and sisters may think we are not on the same page.
