Life's Purpose and Fulfillment - how to find it (let's simplify this)

I've known since I was a toddler that my life's purpose was to be a writer. I don't have anything published yet and I'm far from making a living off of it but I write every day and love it more than anything (even when it gets frustrating).

Everyone is looking for purpose, the truth is there is no purpose. You are here to spend a short time and that's it. Try to enjoy your short stay by focusing on your peace of mind. Realise that the grand search for purpose is a human conditioning, being kind to others and yourself is really all that matters.

At 22:05 whoa, not only my name sake but that's getting rather close to the direction I was once headed, career wise AND geographically! Also, you wore cowboy boots on a bike??! (You meant bicycle, correct?) As someone that's broken both clavicles on a bicycle and broken bone around the eye socket, I can relate. I had an interesting revelation this past weekend when I was sharing where I’m at and where I feel I’m heading with a new group that I joined. Didn’t know what my intro was going to be, but as I was talking I felt a deeper level of clarity than I have in quite some time. When my life pillars of connection, movement, and stillness are sprinkled in throughout my days and contribute to the overarching lens through which I see this life (curiosity), I find myself at peace. And when I think about fulfilling a purpose, I envision feeling content and that I made a difference. My sentence: I heal the pain of the world. Also, when you were talking about the Pilgrimage path, it reminded me of Paulo Ceolho’s book where we ventured across the Santiago de Compostela ☺️
