DAICH SpreadRock Features and How To

Published 2020-10-30
How do you apply a genuine, finely pebbled stone finish onto concrete, cinder block, brick, drywall and more in a weekend – without breaking the budget? You SpreadRock it!

This elegantly beautiful REAL STONE finish looks just like speckled granite that would otherwise cost you thousands if you went with traditional installed materials. Instead, SpreadRock lets you easily install a lightweight stone veneer anywhere a long lasting upgrade is desired – at a fraction of the cost.

SpreadRock is NOT PAINT. It is a fully pre-mixed, stone coating that's odourless and ready to spread onto your porch, steps, patio, pool deck, garage floor, interior concrete floor, walkway and more.

It also spreads easily up vertical surfaces like exterior cinderblock foundation and retaining walls, concrete columns - and even onto interior drywall for incredibly tough and beautiful stone accent walls.

SpreadRock is applied with either a trowel or from a standing position using the DAICH SpreadRock squeegee trowel. Applied onto your correctly prepared surface, SpreadRock can bring you many years of proven performance record and outstanding value.

I used this product two years ago, it has held up like a champ and looks fantastic. I am a teacher, not an expert or in construction type of trade. Carefully followed instructions, used a bit of patience, it is awesome. Question is, it has been 2 years, how do I prep to reseal ? Instructions are to reseal and I don't want this great looking patio to have any issues. Anyone?
  • I have worked with Spreadrock. Goes on easy, had 6" plastic trowel that came with it. Pooldeck was beautiful. I'd like to do more Spreadrock. Very few people actually know of the stuff. Hardware store here in town has "old" cans of it, I've asked them to mention my name to whomever buys it

  • Can spread rock be applied on top of a concrete floor that has textured paint? Or does the textured paint have to be sanded down?

I have old Spanish tile outdoors that was painted over when I purchased my house. Wondering if SpreadRock is a good solution to cover this? Also, how much height does this add once applied?

My pool patio is concrete, has been painted with concrete paint but doesn't hold up, chips, stains, and over all have to be very careful with the furniture, would I be able to put this product over my painted concrete?
  • I have some deep holes and some as big as two or three quarters do I repair holes first or let a large amount go down the hole
  • I bought a home that the homeowner painted the patio can this be applied over paint or do you have to remove the old paint first.
