"The symbolism of that is extreme because now, how does Putin characterise this in this own sort of hermetically sealed special military operation?"

The incursion into Russia's Kursk region will leave Putin's generals with a difficult choice of continuing to push into donetsk or move troops to repel the attack, Bill Browder tells Frontline on #timesradio

PUTIN..... " When I said I wanted a buffer zone around Kursk, I didn’t mean for Ukraine to create one." Ah, but master strategist as you are, this saves you all the trouble of creating one! 😀😀

The suffering of the Russian people is never on the mind of Putin. The Russian people accept their suffering.

A military blogger suggested that while there no Russian conscripts in Ukraine there might well be conscripts in the Kursk region. Conscripts with moscovian parents that now will be captured, wounded or killed. Wounded inhabitants of the Kursk region are now treated in hospitals in Moscow. There will also be people leaving the Kursk area and moving to family in and around Moscow. Suddenly the effects of the war are visible in Moscow. No amount of censorship is going to hide that
