Lots of emotions watching this compilation. Just in awe of the heights these players have reached. Crazy to see how long ago some of these clips are from. Some just seem so far ahead of their time: - Garrettg's bump recovery ceiling goal - Squishy pulling off the ceiling shot in pro comp - Deevo's offensive backboard play - Al0t's redirects I was in LA when Rise made that save. I think he was the only person in the world who wasn't sure it was going to be a goal. Was fortunate enough to also be in Fort Worth to witness Furia's big win over Moist and to see BDS claim the first official world championship in 3 years. Man Rocket League was so special from 2016-2020. I know its more mechanical now but the OG goals always hit different.

2017-19 was peak rl for me, the players mechanics have gotten way better and there have been some insane goals since then but the atmosphere just isn’t the same imo

This made me cry. As a player who’s played with/been friends with a lot of these guys and been here since the beginning boy this video hits. I miss everyone man it’s crazy it’s been so long already almost a decade since iBuyPower and FlipSide, kings of Roman and mock-it. From that to northern gaming and then vitality. I love rocket league and these guys made it amazing. Seeing scrub or Jstn or firstkiller after knowing them when they were not even old enough to qualify or the OGs like Klassux, Kro, Paschy, Pluto, ZaneJackey, dappur timi, and the list goes on. I remember squishys first YouTube video. They are never forgotten. What a journey. I miss it so much and would do anything to go back to being a 17 year old grinding this game when it was new again. Thank you for this video.

As the game is slowly dying this is an incredible flashback and nostalgic video. I have been playing and watching RL for years and me and my boys decided to leave it at that. For me the freestyler scene has become much more interesting over the years, but I love some of the storylines in RLCS. Greatest moment for me was at RLCS season 8, when Garret finally won his long-awaited title. <3

love this. i love how in 2016, an air dribble was the coolest thing anyone could possibly imagine. the skill from 2016-now is crazy. and, can’t argue that season 8 was by far peak rocket league
