    What's open marriage? There's no need for marriage if the couple wants it open and when that happens, the marriage opens itself to other issues such as jealousy and greed which often doesn't end well, unfortunately.

    The point of marriage is a commitment to be faithful to each other physically and emotionally, to the exclusion of all others. An open marriage is not a marriage. If you want/need other people, why bother getting married? The whole "we won't get emotionally attached to anyone else" never works.
