Not having a job is stressful at times but, whoever is going through it,you’ll get through it❤

A big round of applause for your courage! I’m 64 with 3 late 20s daughters. I’ve worked in corporate my entire working life; we didn’t have a lot of options when I was in my 20s. I’ve encouraged my daughters to switch careers when and if they are not enjoying them; life is a series of zigs and zags. Do it when you’re young. As a famous hockey player once said: “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”.

I never comment. I just found this video, and I related enough to click on it. I'm a 33 year old solo mum of two. I quit my 6 figure corporate job 2 years ago to be home with my girls. I took a year off, and now I'm working casually in a creative job I love. Money is tight, but we get by, and now my time is spent with my children and pursuing my creative passions. No more burnout. No more juggling. It will work out for you, just keep doing what you're doing. You've already done the hardest thing 😉 xx

I just did this too. I quit a job (dream job) that I worked so hard for and ended up in a deep depression. But since I left my mental health has gotten better. Life is about constantly figuring it out and that will come with making mistakes and learning from them.

I find people being more transparent about finances these days very refreshing and helps me a lot with my relationship with money ❤️❤️ you got this girl 🥰💫💫

Thanks for sharing this, Evelyn. I'm also 29, I'm a lawyer, and I don't exactly love what I'm doing so I totally understand you when you say that you used to feel drained and unable to produce content after working 8 hours every day at your day job. I'm so happy for you that you're putting yourself out there now. Please be assured that I'll continue to watch your videos because they are really inspiring in their own unique way. Keep it up! :) <3
  • As someone who is also preparing to quit their corporate job what you said at the end was so reassuring.. just like you said, doing something everyday that is just taking energy and not really adding value to your life makes me feel so drained at the end of the week... I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.. sending lots of good vibes your way✨

I quit my non profit job a week ago!! This video was encouraging <3

OMG The fact that you had 8k subscribers when you filmed this, and now only 2 weeks later, You've almost DOUBLED! Like yes girl!!! Affirmation that you made the right choice!!! This is my first time seeing you and subscribed

so proud of you!!! i’m an artist and quit my job recently to pursue art full time. the burnout that you described is so real. it’s so scary to quit a job without really knowing what will happen. and as of now i’m only making a lil money off my art, definitely not enough to live off of. i have savings but what you mentioned about the self doubt is so real. i worry all the time that i’m gonna blow through my savings and have achieved nothing. however i know realistically i need to give this everything i’ve got and even if i don’t make it to the point of being able to do it full time, i’ll be way further than i was. thank you for sharing this video!

I quite my job at the end of 2019 and went all in to my creative work as a voice teacher and artist. The opportunities, friendships and ventures that spawned from that decision made it one of the best decisions I ever made. Honor what your body is telling you! I applaud you realizing that burnout is not living. We can’t create in survival mode. Wishing you the best! ❤🎉

I quit my job 2 years ago. You touched on so many of the thoughts I have daily. Still figuring out what I want to do next and dealing with motivation issues now. But I have a few incomes from odd and end jobs that keeps me floating.

This takes so much courage. I'm a fellow corporate worker (engineering manager) for a good 20 years, and I can tell you most of us dream of taking this type of step but just don't have the courage or the mindset to do it. Thanks for giving us a glimpse of your life and what it might look like, your outlook is fantastic and inspiritational!

I just wanna address how polite she is and gracious. You exude so much light and I wanna say thank you, thank you for assuring me there is very nice ppl in the world, thank you for being an unintentional example of a great human being. So super humble, and so thankful to have ran across your video this afternoon 🫶🏽

I finally quit my job after realizing I was choosing money over my happiness. The only reason I was staying was because every year my salary was increasing and I was doubting I would ever make the same amount of money. But my life was passing me by and I didn’t have a single moment of memory besides having kids and working during those years. I feel like the US is the only place where if you don’t work your whole life changes and we choose money over living. You got this and like I tell my sister take your time and don’t rush into another job. Find a job you truly love.

From a fellow Amazonian I too took a chance and gave up the tech world to focus on being a Realtor. I hope you find this next stage of life to be rewarding. I’m wishing you the best.
  • @nomuh807
Just subscribed. I think the "quitting job" thing is both extremely stressful but also courageous so I think you're really brave to try to follow your dreams. Most people don't understand that life is short and if you don't do things that make you feel alive, there's no point to it. Good luck and hope you achieve everything you want! 😊

I've been watching YouTube for years and making my own videos for years too. I am 100% sure that you will make a living off of YouTube. Your content is interesting to watch and it has a flow. Your editing is very good and keeps the audience watching and engaged. You got this ❤

Fellow ex-employee from big 4 and holyfrick the burnout you feel goes all the way down into your bones. It was something that was so difficult to explain to others around me because they would just ask 'but why... you work more than us, sure, but you have the rest of your day after that?' I quit, changed jobs and ended up in a even worse burnout elsewhere and am now doing the unemployment dance and contemplating content creation. Thank you for sharing your journey so far, it really hit home and has been super inspiring!

It’s so inspiring to see people take the risk to follow their heart. With self doubt, worry, and people always judging, the best thing you can do is bet on yourself. You just gained a subscriber and I hope you continue to grow!
