#Flashback | ChinaTech is Changing the Social Contract, Weaponising Democracies, Gaming Systems

The fourth technological revolution has begun. No domain remains untouched.
- How should we view technological competition with our adversaries from the unfree world, especially China?
- Are the battles over 5G and artificial intelligence purely technological, or do they imply choices between competitive ideologies in a changing world order?
- Can we distinguish between technologies that bring risk and those that do not as a basis for deciding on whether to cooperate with China?
- Can the US and the EU find common approaches to this challenge?
- What do China’s immediate neighbours think?
- How does China itself define security and how does China’s leadership implement this definition?
- Can we separate technology and geopolitics?

  • If you're worried about dependence on external countries for anything, then the problem isn't do it yourself. The problem is that we spend TRILLIONS on weapons, and not a dime on figuring out how we can work together while ensuring respect & safety for all. This is the world Europeans have created a world of adversaries in which there are only winners & losers. This is not a human world. Humans historically win when other humans win, we wouldn't be here if that wasn't the case!
  • No one species should follow and change itself for other. Nature don't work that way. Be yourself and contribute in your own way. Show your ability, and allow other to show their. Jealousy bring you nowhere.
  • European n British is so innocent wonder which country committed genocide in Africa America Asia pacific island n Australia
  • There's no need to use a "stick." China is forming benign alliances with many nations around the world...through BRI, through BRICS, through RCEP, through SCO, and so on. China is working to unite the world, while Western countries like USA and UK are working to divide it.
  • You like it or not. China is going to lead the world. Big love to China. ✌️❤️
  • The panel talks about China without a voice from China. A big problem!
  • @two02ful
Say whatever you like. Salute to president Xi. He has done a extremely good job in taking care of the interest of it citizen. Non on this planet came close to president Xi achievement!

Just because Samir said it doesn't make it so. Less than two decades ago, every expert projected India to outperform China in development because of their advantage in the English language. It is true. India did have a huge advantage over China. And Samir just proved it with his eloquence in maligning China.
  • @Allgood33
Why does it sound like it's China's fault when other countries are lagging behind?
  • This presentation reveal in the insecurity and less confident to compete with advancing China. Spending all the time in critical of advancing country does not help your self advancement. China's achievement are result of competent leadership that drive the ingredients necessary that support continuous advancement.
  • Jack Ma's Ant Finance Group engulfed the ordinary chinese with very, very serious loan problems that will impact China's banks (the loans were packaged such that the risks are mainly borne by the banks, not Ant Finance). The leverage was terrible .That's why the Ant Finance had to be reined in.Not those smearing here
  • The strength of any country is its populace. As long as CCP serves its people, it doesn't matter whether it is a communist model or democratic model, it will succeed. But in the end no model or system is perfect. I think the rivals to China have to understand the levers within their system of functioning to balance their power
  • The moderator lady should direct the question of Funding of Insurgent and Terrorist should be directed to the USA.
  • Observation of the panels: Samir:- Was too fired up with the emotions and hate against China, thus he failed to make a sensible contribution to the overall discussion and how to counter China realistically and not just wishful thoughts and expectations. His begging for partnership and collaboration with Europe to sideline China completely might work well for India's rhetoric, but Europe have a different idea of China as a challenge. They are not as emotionally as invested as Indians do to the challenge of China, and understandably so. Just like here we say - "National Interest First", Europe have their own interest and priority when it comes to China. Dean Cheng:- A typical USA propagandist who will blame everyone else (particularly China) except themselves. America is like that Husband who sleep with your wife/others wife, violates all the human rights and international laws that was written, would lectures you on moral values etc. -- but he doesn't want you to do any of that, not even a bit. If you do, even if it's just little, he'll announce to the world that you are the most evil creature on earth and should be destroyed. 😆 The other two panels from Europe - are just playing it safe. We can clearly see, they know China is a challenge, a strategic competitors but they also don't want to blindly follow the US anymore. It has hurt them more than many times, including the current inflation :-). So they are looking for their own path in the broader scheme of theme. Note: I love how the so called EXPERTS are sometime so unintelligent and defective LOL. The USA guy at the end said - CCP is happy because it's populations is getting older!!! Like WTF!! 😆. If that's the case, then why is the same CCP promoting for more children nowadays after dismantling the 'one-child policy'?? They even went to the extent of cracking down many expensive private education system in China (at the cost of their own economy and reputation) to make education more affordable to parents, so that it will encourage them to have more children. HAHAHA Sometimes these experts think we viewers are all fools LOL.
  • Final point: Amazing that you can have a debate with people all on one side of an issue. Having said that, the young lady in tech is the best because she does admit that the US is just hating China because China is better. Europe needs to chart their own course. The guy from India is so biased it's ridiculous, LOL!
  • Thank you for expressing your analysis and summary it shows me this panel does not have knowledge to make things work. I am an American who has gained the utmost respect for Xi and the Communist party leadership. They actual practice democracy better than any country in the world.
  • China is registering more international patents than America, and China produces 2 X STEM graduates than America does. The quality of these graduates can be judged by just visiting any top STEM university in America to find that they are academically beating their classmates hands down.
  • In the last 2 years India’s trade with China has increased. Today India trades more with China than it does with Europe.
