The weight of carrying a false identity, constructed from insecurity and ego can be overwhelming. Everyone already sees you for who you are and has chosen to accept or reject you. Show up as who you are. You have nothing to prove. This is the path to true self confidence. Love yourself and accept that you are perfectly imperfect.

This was originally filmed during Epicurrence Winter Work Week 2018.

I don't know about all people but this thing is deep and if you understand and master it. You can be the best version of yourself for rest of the life.
  • @callumgriffith
Why does it always feel like these videos are tailor-made for where I am in life.
  • @rahulbhogal1336
This is soul cleansing! Man I can't tell you how many times I avoid speaking or engaging with people because I have this self built fear of saying something invaluable. I feel like this is still a work in progress for me, so thank you for this. Jordan Peterson said something amazing in one of his videos, "the willingness to being a fool is a precursor to transformation".

That line "Everybody is already okay with who you are" was great and made so much sense. Like, duh, any "mask" or front I put up isn't fooling people. Same way I can tell when others are putting on a "mask". Awesome strategy to just focus on how to serve the person or people you're interacting with rather than focusing on our egos. Great video.
  • Caring more about other people is the easiest way to gain confidence
  • @jdt8983
That and it's always comforting to know nobody cares about the things you're insecure about but you. Everyone else is absorbed into their own realities

Have hit a total crisis with ego and insecurity at the moment - I needed to hear this. (It's been a bad day) And I myself have often felt I needed to leave ego behind as I've been aware for some time now that humility/selflessness and true confidence go hand-in-hand. I am really struggling with a sense of failure in my life, feel I have a lot to prove, and need to let it go. You broke it down so well, thank you.

after a year, I'm crying again while watching this video, feeling better again about myself and rembering that I'm more important to the world than my ego. Thank you, Chris. Thank you so much! <3

This is exactly what I needed at this moment. Your channel has been a game changer for me ever since I discovered it!

You can’t change your external factors always but can mould your inner self and be content with what you are. Love these type of videos from you Chris.

That ego portion is something I truly wish to internalize. I want to kill my ego and truly just be of service to others. I have such a big ego about myself sometimes and it makes me feel disgusted with my ability to belittle others in my mind just to reinforce my fragile self image. I also completely agree about a video of yourself being taken. You have so many misconceptions about how you sound, look, and just your presence as a whole. That it’s almost uncomfortable or repulsive to sit and think about how you’re trapped in that physical being. Then it hits you, that people have already accepted you, they’re okay with you. They still smile at you, they still laugh with you, they want to help you. It’s a terrible feeling to digest, you almost feel unworthy in a sense and a ting of paranoia kicks in and makes you feel like others will soon agree with your insecurity and your perceived lesser value of yourself. It takes a lot of patience with yourself to accept your own acceptance. Thank you for this video.

When the people that matters accepts you for who you are, it will help you find your way to self-acceptance
  • @ForeverDansky
Great video Chris! Thanks for sharing, really resonated with me and it’s good to know it’s totally normal to feel like that đŸ€Ÿ
  • @ArchieDeZ
this is something i can relate to. i'm introvert and i do have same problem, just i'm still studying. but i know i'm always be myself, though more likely "my own pace". and to know that "Everyone already sees you for who you are" really open something new for me today.
  • @heenaverma2895
This video is a pure gem. I can feel that anxiety of being in such rooms filled with talented people and have absolutely nothing to share. Being an introvert it's hard to find voice in writing as well. So one can imagine how worse things can be when you have to phase something physically. But I keep boosting myself and practicing such good suggestions. 🙏

Looking back on it, how much you have been able to transform, that is what is so inspirational to me and so many others. Makes me feel like I can do that. If it came naturally to you like it did for Jose, I don't think you'd have as powerful of a story or connect as deeply with many of us here. That in and of itself is incredibly motivating.
  • @ALGOChannel
0:40 I genuinely thought this was an among us joke and then realized this video was published in 2018
  • @RhoJae
The world already sees you for who you are Go out with the mindset of "I want to help people" and boom with confidence. Amazing video
  • @ayushrajpal6116
This is literally one of the best advice I've heard untill now... It's simple but genius - “Be of service to people whilst being who you already are.” Thank you so much for this. You're great !! 😍💜
